I had overlooked the size so was smaller than i expected but is smart and good in my study .

As other people have said the lid is difficult to open. Can therefore dangerous if hot water is spilling out. Had this kettle for 6 weeks and the lid does not function at all now. Contacted Amazon and they gave me an immdeiate refund. I'll be more careful buying a replacement and read the reviews. Clealy this kettle looks great but just doesn't fully function.
