Review: Excellent knife! - Out of the box, no issues at all. The blade flips open VERY quickly, even before I oiled it, and fit and finish are great for the price point. I love the look of the "stonewashed" blacked blade. And the G10 handle grips very well, and fits my large hands just fine. The case is better quality than I expected. Sharpness is great. The blade is thin, especially at the tip, but considering the steel, I don't expect any problems. For the price, can't be beat.

I have extra large hands and the size of this knife works well for me. I can get all 4 fingers on the handle with the knife open. The action is very smooth when I use the flipper. The Liner Lock works smoothly, much like more expensive knives. I have read that the pocket clip gets sprung occasionally. I don't use the pocket clip so that will not be a problem for me. I like the Double Black look. The metallic blue liner gives this Black knife a very nice look. It is quite elegant. It weighs about 3.8 ounces. I believe it is a good value. I am very happy with it.

**Q: Where is this knife manufactured?**
A: Civivi is a sub-brand if WE Knives.  Both are manufactured in China.  I own a Baklash.  It is a very nicely made knife with great flipping action.

**Q: Does it  have  steel liners with  holes  to  lighten it or are  they  full?**
A: The liners are skeletonized

**Q: Is this knife Assisted opening?**
A: It is not, but I like this better. I have a couple assisted opening knives. While opening a higher end assisted open knife might be a 5 out of 5, closing them is a 3 out of 5 at best and some are outright dangerous to close one-handed. Some lower end assisted-open knives are harder to open than a Civivi on bearings. Opening on a knife with good bearings like a Civivi is a 4 out of 5 (maybe 4.5) and closing them is a 5/5. Getting a good knife on bearings will get you similar benefits to assisted open with none of the drawbacks.

**Q: The "carbon fiber" on this version- is it just a light layer over the g10? any evidence that it's real cf? how's it holding up over time?**
A: It’s a laminate over G10

And the G10 handle grips very well, and fits my large hands just fine. The case is better quality than I expected. Sharpness is great. The blade is thin, especially at the tip, but considering the steel, I don't expect any problems. For the price, can't be beat.

I’m not the type to write reviews but I had to for this, I’ve bought 3 knives from this company and still have 2 and for 50-60 dollars it can’t get much better. The packaging is really nice and I bought one 2 days ago and have had one for 2 years, I got 2 of the baklash knives and the only issue with mine of 2 years is a tiny bit of blade play that is still less play than any gerber or anything of the same price range and when they are brand new. The blade play being so minimal shows me the quality which prompted me to buy more from this company, to get that blade play I used a hammer to pound it through multiple things, I’ve cut tires/seat belts all kinds of stuff and only had to sharpen my blade twice. Overall would recommend, smooth action, good looking, sharp/stays sharp. I have no complaints
