Review: Well made - This carder set is really nice. The brushes are well made, the wood is smooth, and the wire bristles do what is expected of them. Much easier than trying to prep wool roving with my fingers.

Pro's: - *Not* a pet brush- they look legitimate! (I bought other cheaper sets and they were just expensive pet brushes) - Feels like good quality - LOVE the sturdy canvas pull-string bag Con's: - there is space between the rubber that holds the tines and the wooden back, so when carding the tines give a little. On "real" carders the rubber that holds the tines is stapled to the wood. It just makes it a little more difficult to use. They are fine carding wool, but I only carded wool with a pair of these for just a few minutes. (Just FYI) They aren't as easy to use for carding cotton.... USE: I do carding/spinning demonstrations for colonialfests and schools. They work great to allow children to get a feel for carding.
