Great fishing backpack
Perfect bag for inshore and off shore fishing, us full tackle boxes and plenty of pockets! Rugged and heavy duty zippers.

Heavy duty, great layout, but…read on
Heavier than I expected out of the box (7.8 lbs!…see picture on a scale), but seems like it’s generally a quality made product for the (kinda high) price. Seems like it should last a long time. It has more space than you need for a day of fishing, and if you’re like me, need to have everything at your disposal and then some. It’s a little overkill for a few hours of fishing, but a great inshore or offshore day pack to throw over your shoulder. If you’re an organizing freak, this has a pocket or compartment for everything and 4 3600 series tackle trays included. Backpack straps be wider in the neck area, they dig into my neck (I don’t have a wide neck either), and lacks sternum or waist straps (being that we’re already nearly 8lbs empty, these should be included). My main gripe is the quality of the velcro strip that is stitched to the front for the tackle box flap. Brand new out of the box, first time opened, stitching pulled out of the right side of the velcro (see picture). It needs to be double stitched and reinforced for the amount of constant use it will get. It needs to be fixed by me, or returned and replaced. I may attempt sewing it back on, it shouldn’t be tough to do, but shouldn’t be necessary. I haven’t decided if I’ll keep it yet (this thing is heavy man! Like luggage heavy), the velcro issue is close to a deal breaker. If I add all my tackle to it, it’ll probably be close to 15-20lbs on your back. I wish it was lighter and completely waterproof, although it does come with a cover that is zipped into a stash pocket on top (meh, annoying to deal with imo) and wastes space. They should do away with the velcro closure and make it a full zip in front, which would also avoid water intrusion into tackle box area during rain. If they made it of waterproof ripstop material and didn’t need the stashed cover, you’d gain another stash pocket on top for your wallet, keys, phone or whatever. This bag is as close to my needs as possible, but falls short in a few aspects. It is definitely of better quality than most other tackle bags out there, as I’ve fondled a lot of them. I contemplating using my yeti backpack for fishing, because it’s completely waterproof and built tough, but doesn’t have the convenience and organization this bag provides (and it’s double the price and more of a lure for thieves). That’s all I got. Tight lines.Edit: I returned it, couldn’t justify the weight, the straps digging into my neck or the cheap velcro closure in front. If they make a few revisions, it’s a winner. I would have considered the top load bag which solves the velcro issue, but I don’t like tackle trays stored on their side.

Pretty nice
Bought this for my husband for one of his bday gifts. He’s a picky guy. I didn’t know what I was even buying but I did read reviews and sizing. He opened it and also really liked it and is using it for fishing. I personally wish it’s a bit more bigger or with more bigger compartments but maybe I’m the picky one. None the less we liked it.

Shimano Blackmoon Backpack
This is a great tackle storage bag. I went from carrying one small tackle box and small bag of small plastics to this bag. Now I just throw it on my back and I am good to go. This bag hold plenty of tackle for the entire day of fishing.
