Explain that adult reasons and adult shortcomings necessitated an adoption. Make it clear that it was not the baby’s fault or due to any shortcomings on the child’s part. Ask your child what he thinks the animal might be feeling. (This may give you some insight to his own feelings about adoption loss.) The Family Treasure Nature Encylopedias series is wonderful, charming, and beautiful! My children and I love these books. A nest is noisy is a gorgeous book! The illustrations are quite beautiful. This book is chock full for great information for learning. The way this series is written makes it easy for younger and older children to enjoy. The way the words just whimsically dance across the page is beautiful. A great asset to your home library or homeschool library.

Absolutely beautiful and fun to read. Gorgeously illustrated. Informative without being too much for littles, and has different stages of information sp the book grows with your kiddo! My 6 year old loves trying to match the egg illustrations in the front cover to the animals on the back.

Rating is for the book itself which is precious. However, beware of purchasing from a 3rd party seller vs. Amazon, my book was “new” but due to how it was packaged for shipping, it arrived beat up looking.

The art work, like the rest of the series, is wonderful and lures in readers of all ages. I love the information these books provide as well as the creative perspective that it shares it in. The book provides great facts and beautifully written words. It's books like these that influence a love for books and reading!

This series is amazing. The books are high quality and provide information geared to children on the various topics featured in the books. The artwork in these books is detailed, beautiful and captivating for children and adults alike. When this series was used in our kindergarten class, the children enjoyed them very much and they led to different inquiries and ‘research’ projects. Beautifully written and illustrated!
