This is a great mineral sunblock. For those who are not familiar with this type of sunscreen - because it is mineral based - zinc oxide and titanium dioxide - it will sit on top of the skin, rather than 'soak in' as the chemical based ones do. Yes it goes on white and takes some 'rubbing in' and then letting it set for a few moments to dry down. I personally love mineral sunscreens for the precise reasons I don't care for the chemical based ones - they do not have the distinctive sunscreen odor and they normally don't irritate the skin, especially around the eyes. The Australian Gold brand has been my go to for years. I normally like the tinted version, as it does not leave any white cast and does offer a smoothing effect to my face. However, the tinted version in "Light" has been harder and harder to come by, so I decided to try the "Medium Tint" which was waaay to dark for my light skin. So I wondered what would happen if I mixed the Medium Tint with this No Tint (white) and YAY! I've been mixing about half and half each and works beautifully. I will say that the this non-tinted version is a little more moist or emollient than the tinted version, making it a little longer to dry back, but it's not an issue for me. I use this over my entire face, neck and chest. Sometimes I will use a little loose powder on a fluffy brush if it still feels a little tacky after finishing my makeup. Since using these sunscreens, I have no need to use a cream or liquid foundation on my 57yo face. They leave a smooth matte finish and on the days I feel like a little more coverage, I'll brush on a little powder foundation in those areas.

I bought a bunch of different types of mineral sunscreen for our trip near some coral reefs. My skin isn't particularly sensitive, and I was hoping for a nice fragrance. This is one of the only ones I found that had a fragrance added. The fragrance was mild and nice, and it disappeared after a while. The sunscreen was thick and creamy. I would say it was OK as a moisturizer, but I needed some extra moisturizer, even though I was using it a lot. I found it disappeared relatively easily BUT I'm also super-pale, so I might not be the best judge. I tried one of their lightest-tinted sunscreens, and it was way too dark for my skin. I looked much better with the slight bit of white cast. I highly recommend it to any pale-skinned person without fragrance sensitivity. I still recommend it to other folks, but maybe not so highly.

I purchased this sunscreen after frying my face and arms while working in the yard. I usually don't burn, but recently started taking some medications that make me sun-sensitive. I read through a lot of reviews before finding this product and feeling satisfied that most buyers had been happy with the product. I was looking for sun protection that wasn't sticky or stinky and worked as promised. This one was as close as I've ever come to perfect for me. The product didn't have much of a scent, which I liked. The consistency is that of a thick lotion with a very slight grit to it, but not so thick that you can't easily spread it on your skin and not rough (like an exfoliant) going on. The product didn't irritate my face chest, shoulders, or arms which is where I put it when I tested it. It blended into my skin without leaving a white residue and after three hours in the sun, I had no irritation, no redness, and no burn. I'm over 50 and in my years I've used sunscreens, but always hated them for their stickiness and scent. This product eliminates those two things and worked perfectly to keep me from burning without any skin irritation. I'm totally sold on it and will buy more as needed.

I bought this sunscreen last year when my favorite Australian Gold Botanicals shade (light) was not available. I tried it a few times on my face but ultimately found it to be too white for even my pale skin. I saved it for use this summer on my body. I've used it under a number of conditions (working in the garden, playing outside with my grandkids, etc) and it's been great. This past week was my ultimate test - at the beach, both in and out of the ocean. I love it! It has protected my skin so well - no sunburn l for this Irish skinned girl! It survived sweat, swimming, and sand. It is thick and goes on easily. It also leaves a definite white cast but feels great on my fairly dry skin (although I don't find it hydrating - at least not on me). The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is because it takes some effort to remove at the end of the day (I apply a reasonably thick coat and do reapply midday). I do need to apply a good moisturizer afterwards. I will not use it in the cold weather months because my skin needs more hydration, but definitely will repurchase in the Spring!

I have mixed skin and I use it all day and I don’t feel greasy nor with heavy product in my face and I LOVE THAT. Also when you apply it, it smells amazing and for the most part I can’t smell that typical sunscreen odor. It doesn’t burn my eyes so 10/10. This sunscreen has almost everything I was looking for in every sunscreen I’ve tried: good price, large amount and what I’ve mentioned previously. What I don’t love is that it leaves me with a white cast for about ~30sec after applying, but it rapidly disappears, so I don’t mind. In addition, I have mixed skin and usually the areas around my mouth and nostrils are drier than the rest of my greasy face, and when I apply the sunscreen it does make those dry patches pop out. So I need to make sure to moisturize that area before applying the sunscreen. If your skin is dry, I don’t recommend this specific sunscreen for you. Also, I don’t love that at the end of the day it begins smelling like the typical sunscreen odor, but maybe it has to do with the built up during the day, and the pH in MY skin; so maybe that won’t happen to you. Even though it has like 3 things I don’t love, I think I’ll keep buying it

Helpful to prevent sunburn.

I really love this product. Although it leaves a temporary white overcast on the skin after application; it doesn't feel tacky, sticky or greasy on skin. It leaves my skin feeling matte and smooth. It also doesn't come off easily when swimming.

I used other brands but they weren’t as good as Australian Gold. I will be ordering again

Textura super rica, deja una muy muy ligera capa blanca por ser mineral. Lo uso en cara y cuerpo sobre todo cuando voy a nadar para asegurarme que me dura mientras estoy en el agua. De diario lo uso en brazos y manos. En la cara, ya que soy de piel grasa, se siente super rico. Si no dejara esa ligerísima cápita blanca, lo usaría diario en mi cara, así que solo para nadar en cara. No es grasoso, siento una textura incluso como aterciopelada. Me encanta. Lo volveré a comprar.

Thia product is awesome ..have been using it for past three months ..till now issues and very good fragrance also.(some may not like a pumpkin feeling) but I like it
