Excellent Study Guide
This book is perfect for someone taking the CISM. I studied this book every day for 3 months, took a Boot Camp with TechNow, and I received my CISM today. The questions in the book are NOT identical to what's on the actual exam, but they are close. Additionally, the book does a pretty good job of explaining why an answer is correct or wrong.

Good book
Great book worth the price

Very disappointed to receive a paperback book at this price. Wouldn't do it again knowing what I know now.
This book has a lot of questions that seem poised to really help me prepare for the exam. No issues there. But for the price I paid, I was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED to receive a paperback book that seemed worth about half the price based on its production level. I really feel like I was scammed, to some extent, based on the cost. I'm REALLY considering returning it before the deadline.

THIS is the main reference you need to pass the CISM 2017 exam
So I just completed the CISM 2017 exam and the big deal about this book is that if you go through it carefully and try to learn what they are asking, the actual exam questions are very similar. Take the explanations and cross reference them with another source for maximum value. Be advised that any ISACA sample questions including the official CISM review manual, are sourced from here. This book should be a primary reference because unlike CISSP, which I failed twice at, you can actually reasonably prepare for CISM with this book and then the McGraw-Hill CISM book too. Highly recommended if your goal is to get a feel for the actual exam, you really cannot go wrong, although this book is really linked to the CISM 2017 exam.

A Must Have For The CISM Exam
Along with the All-In-One, this was my primary study tool and I passed without a problem. In response to other reviews, if you can't discern between the BEST answer and the SECOND BEST answer, you could be in trouble on the exam. There are few times that it is not clear which answer is the BEST answer in this book. And if you see a question that doesn't have a clear answer on the test, it's probably a beta question that doesn't count.

A great example of how to contradict yourself.
This publication is abysmal. The price is doubled compared to many of the other security training material I own but does not offer half the value. Many of the questions directly contradict each other throughout the book. Many of the explanations for why one answer is correct can just as easily be applied to 2-3 of the incorrect answers. About a third of all the questions have answers based on a thought or theory which is never given or implied in the question to begin with. Likewise, many of the explanations for incorrect answers do not address the actual question and you're left with more questions on where they came up with their reasoning than understanding why it's a wrong answer. It's very easy to tell that the writers were attempting to write complex questions that would trip-up or trick the test taker, but in the end they simply entrapped themselves. Here's just one example I'm looking at now:Which of the following choices is MOST likely to ensure that responsibilities are carried out?Signed contractsSevere penaltiesAssigned accountabilityClear policiesCorrect answer C: "Assigned accountability to individuals is most likely to ensure that duties are properly carried out.Incorrect answer A: "Contracts can define responsibilities, but it is essential that individuals are accountable."- BusinessDictionary.com defines contract as - "A voluntary, deliberate, and legally binding agreement between two or more competent parties."- CollinsDictionary.com defines contract as - "... a legal agreement, usually between two companies or between an employer and employee, which involves doing work... "- Google.com defines contract as - "A written or spoken agreement, especially one concerning employment, sales, or tenancy, that is intended to be enforceable by law"So according to this book; a legally enforceable binding contract does not ensure accountability or responsibility. If you buy this book, be prepared for many many more hypocritical and ill conceived questions such as these.

Great book for CISM aspirants
This is one of the book to glance before appearing for CISM exam. This book helped me get the feel of CISM questions. though it should be noted that in actual exam, there wont be any questions from this book but certainly helps to get the flavour of questions.
