A great book with a common sense guide to eating for endurance sports. Great tips throughout the book on pre and post nutrition and recovery, nice recipes too !

It has some good information. But I thought it would be more specific about what and when to eat; the how much I suppose depends on runner size. I took away couple of pointers that I used for my marathon.

Runners must run for a copy!
Brilliant, rational, and useful advise. No fads just evidence. What a great book - every runner should have a copy as it not only explains what to eat but why based on what energy systems you are using. A must read

Same Recipes as Previous Book
I received Fast Fuel; Food For Running Success today and was keen to read it after buying Renee's first book Training Food - which I think is excellent. I was disappointed to find that the recipes in the new book are nearly all the same as the Training Food book. I would estimate that 90% of the recipes, from initial scan, appear to be the same.If you are looking for a book to help your running nutrition then I can highly recommend this one as it contains a lot of good meal plans and recipes. It also goes in to a lot of detail around how to fuel for training and events and how to vary diet based on intensity of your training sessions. However, if you already own Training Food I am not sure how much information is new, and as mentioned above the recipes are nearly all featured in Training Food.Both Fast Fuel and Training Food are great additions to your training, but had hoped for a lot of new recipes in this book hence not giving it a higher score.
