Work great
Love it, I like the end sticks out feather then the one that came with lathe , I can get tools closer to the middle of the work piece.

Poor quality control
First one I received was rough and would barely spin by hand. On the lathe it seized completely in minutes. Replacement one spins by hand but is still rough. Feels as though the bearings inside are used up.Recommend not wasting your money.

Holds the wood, rotates smoothly
I ordered this tailstock live center after I had dropped my original and blunted the point. I have used this one to turn several end-grain bowls and it works very well so far.

Bearing Fails
Worked fine for a couple of hours use, then the bearing got clunky. I quit using it before it seized entirely.Amazon refund FTW.

Very poor quality and not running true
Well what a waste of time and money, first off is when you turn the live end and feel how rough the bearings are they must be square ones definitely not round it grinds and is gritty in your hands so god help if you ever put this deathtrap in your lathe the live end doesn't even run true so emagine you just mounting a big log like 10-12" diamiter and then run this live headstock at the other end what's it is soposed to do is stop the piece vibrating but this one has more play in the bearings I can wiggle the live head a good 2-3"mm sideways so at about 800-1000rpm can you imagine the vibration and I'd bet it would snap and break off almost straight away so story is don't buy this rubbish and dangerous item
