What a stunningly beautiful piece. I wanted an analog timer as opposed to a date viral one, and this is a beauty. The size is perfect for it to be a centrepiece on your desk or table, and the sand is quite hypnotic as it filters down gently. Customer service is incredible also, Patricia fixed a minor issue immediately with perfect communication. Highly recommend.

I had the sand timer for 2 years, I had not used often and it just broke one day, the bottom fell out of it and all the sand went everywhere- poor quality.

Really like it.

This is a fine hourglass promoting a means to put a pause on the world. A flip of this hourglass pours a stream of soft sand. Watching is enough to help you forget how external many of our issues lay while remembering the continuity of time that belongs to your defined actions. This hourglass records 5 minutes, a small time frame. The focus here is mindfulness which for this length seems perfect, enough to settle down and gain calmness and clarity. I still think, however, this would be a more useful hourglass if this recorded a long time to make this applicable for more than meditation, i.e. completing tasks using a sort of Pomodoro technique. Hence, while the hourglass feels premium, the packaging is good enough to gift, the price feels too high.

It’s a lot bigger than I thought, it comes well packaged and there’s no plastic! Lovely glass timer with rust/coppery coloured sand. Looks great on display on shelving or a desk and the quality of it is great. I don’t really understand why it’s just under £50, I’ve got another glass sand timer that was half the price and the same quality.

Nein man muss keinen Alarm setzen und Orientierung in der Zeit zu bekommen. Man muß auch nicht ständig auf die "Uhr" schielen, um zu wissen wie spät es ist. Diese Sanduhr verbinden Effizienz mit Müßiggang. Soll heißen, man kann entspannt in ungefähren Zeitabschnitten werkeln, oder aber man faulenzt ein wenig, aber eben nicht zu lange. Und nichts schrillt!

I love that I can set this within view and time my yoga by half hour increments. It is beautiful and I get lots of interest in it, but what is important is that it is serene and functional. I timed it. It is a half hour.

While it’s a ‘fun’ item, it’s useless because the sand gets stuck. As a timer it doesnt work- at all!
