Delicious Vermont Maple Candy to Love!
I have been enjoying maple candies so much that finally I decided to order a whole pound. It is far more economical and you always have some to enjoy! I would say these are comparable to Maple Sugar Candy from Canada. I find the Vermont Maple Candy crisp on the outside and soft and meltingly sugary on the inside. Yes these do just melt in your mouth into a sort of maple syrup bliss. I'd say you get a lot of pieces for the cost and the ingredients are just pure maple syrup with nothing else added. The color of the candies is a light tan and there is only one variety in each box. The quantity in this box is enough for weeks of enjoyment. I will definitely get these again when I start to finish this box. Maple Syrup candies of this quality are hard to find in stock! These would make a perfect gift for anyone you love as well. I eat about two at a time since they are that delicious and I love them! These arrived in excellent condition and were fresh and amazing! I'm going to go eat two more pieces right now! :) ~The Rebecca Review P.S. 8/20/2026 - I just got these ordered again! They really are that good!

Mansfield is the real deal in melty, buttery maple candy.
Years ago on a trip to Canada, I bought some maple candy at the recommendation of a Canadian friend. I was blown away, as it was like nothing I had tasted before. It looked, and at first tasted, like it was just a block of maple sugar. But after a moment, it melted in my mouth with a soft exquisite texture like butter or fudge. When I ran out, I was determined to find some stateside... which I did Amazon. I ordered, but what arrived wasn't very good - rock hard and not that tasty. I gave up for awhile. Fast forward a couple years and I recalled my trip to Canada. I checked Amazon and now there are four brands of maple candy available. Armed with a budget of $60 to do a group tasting, I ordered all four. They are pictured in my photo from top to bottom: Fullers, Mansfield, Nova, and Butternut Mountain. A group of friends tasted all of them (others were blind tasters but I knew which was which). Mansfield was the favorite by a good margin, with that wonderful buttery meltaway texture. It brought back those memories of the first time I had enjoyed maple candy. It also had the most premium looking packaging - a black box with gold leaf lettering. There were a couple dissenters who liked the Nova (the dark one) the best because they thought it was more "maple" and less "sweet." I found it to be way too hard (even right out of its airtight packaging) and not a contender. Fuller's was probably the most interesting looking of the bunch, with several different molds used, not just the maple leaf shape, and on taste it was the consensus second place finisher. Butternut mountain was third place, with "some" butteriness but not much. For most of us it was still preferred over Nova though. Anyway, if you are bewildered by the options, and want the authentic maple candy experience, get the Mansfield.

First order - Exceptional quality! Second order - Not so much. I won't order these again
I ordered the Mount Mansfield organic, maple leaf, maple sugar candies in the 1 pound box. With only a two-day delivery, these came in hardly no time at all. I should note, that I ordered these when it was like 90ยฐF outside. They came perfect. Talk about a blast from the past... I recently purchased some of these on a New England trip in May. I hadn't has these since I was a kid, when my parents bought some for me. You get 48 pieces in a one pound box. I paid $30 for the one pound box, so they cost just about 63 cents a piece. It's a good little treat and curbs my sweet tooth. These are such good, quality candies. The flavor is phenomenal. The outside is firm and the inside is tender and creamy. No grittiness at all. The box is a durable, plastic type box that comes sealed. There are 2 layers in the one pound box. I'm just starting on the second layer. They're so good! It said in the description that it may ship in 2 half pound boxes but mine came in one 16 ounce package. All candies are in a uniform size and are nearly identical in size and shape. Each piece is roughly about an inch in size. I enjoy them very much. They're delicious in my coffee as well. I put one in my prepared coffee and let it set for a few minutes and stir. They dissolve well. I highly recommend this product. The candies are delicious. ENJOY!

Best taste but variable quality
Usually it's perfect, with a slightly-harder outside and a slightly-creamier inside and a slightly richer flavor that make it better than all the others. But two of the five I've bought over time have been rather hard all the way through - difficult to bite through, and not worth the premium price. I don't know if it's a variable production/quality control or a shelf-life issue. The most recent one I bought is excellent and has lot number and "best by" date, so perhaps they've fixed the problem.

Every piece is dried out with huge white patches, unchewable
Beautiful packaging, fast shipping, good taste, but unfortunately almost every piece of candy in the package has dried out so much that I can't chew them. I got these because they're chewable. I have a lot of food sensitivities and maple candy is the only chewable sweet thing I can still eat without feeling ill, so it's a huge disappointment that I can't chew these because they've all dried out. I think it would help if the package was in an air tight bag or something so it could stay in Amazon's warehouse without becoming inedible.

The very best
It was a treat as a child that I devoured. Now that I'm 60 yrs older I love it even more. I've learned to savor it and this is so good. Brought back all the childhood memories and what I love about maple and Vermont. Great flavor and value for the money
