Works fine, easy to use.

Very simple to use on a range of surfaces. We bought this to measure damp in the indoor surface of single-skin brickwork. This was to check if our remedial exterior render repair work had been effective. It had, and because we had a definitive reading we saved ourselves a lot of money and were able to re-render where we had removed damp blown material (replacing with lime render; essential in permanently low level damp areas).

Does exactly what it should. I use it to check moisture in our logs before burning and it seems to be accurate. Good buy.

Does what it says

Very helpful when logging during the winter. It gives an accurate reading from what I can tell. All around, I would recommend it.

Has plausible envelope of readings on a range of wood of different ages and conditions. Easy to use. At least reasonably robust - I broke the pins on another meter eventually, and this one is ok so far although one pin has changed angle slightly. But the calibration for "softwood" and "hardwood" seems dubious to me - I have tried both since I have a variety of species, and on the same log the softwood reading is almost double the hardwood reading. I'm not an expert, but calibration data suggests a much smaller range between species.

Was able to check our outdoor steps after the rain. Steps look great after staining them. No moisture issues.

Good unit. Used it to check new deck boards, worked great. A little harder to get readings on firewood but worked. All in all easy to use, a good unit.
