SOS Brigade gets the job of creating a Literary Collection in order to Yuki-Chan's Literature Club. Haruhi-chan becomes Editor-in-Chief so the SOS Club can continue to use the Literature Clubroom. Plenty of amusing stories are written and told as a result of Haruhi's prodding!

This thirteenth volume of 'The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya' manga sees the conclusion of the 'Editor in Chief-Full Speed Ahead' storyline before moving on to a manga only chapter and then the beginnings of 'The Intrigues of Haruhi Suzumiya'.'Editor in Chief-Full Speed Ahead' is concluded in the first three episodes of the volume and thus storyline is actually quite interesting. The storyline includes the stories written by Asahina (a rather random Fairy Tale), Nagato (a brilliantly odd story that is meant to be Fantasy Horror) and Kyon (the story of a 'date' he once went on). Of these stories, I must say that I like Nagato's the best as it suits her perfectly. The rest of this storyline is interesting as well with some funny moments and an interesting conclusion.'Welcome to the House of Terror' is apparently a manga only storyline that takes place during 'Editor in Chief-Full Speed Ahead' and sees Haruhi, Kyon, Taniguchi and a friend of Kyon's sister visit an apparently haunted house. This is an entertaining little sorry with a nice twist. The story is a little light but it does add some nice things to the conclusion of the 'Editor in Chief' storyline.The final chapter of the volume begins 'The Intrigues of Haruhi Suzumiya'. This story of time travel shenanigans is interesting and while the chapter in this volume is just setting things up it does this rather well. Having said this I do feel that Koizumi's exposition about the events of 18th December wasn't handled half as well as the same scene in the original Light Novel.This volume of 'The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya' was an entertaining read and deserves a high four stars.

If you love an impulsive main character that can change reality, and always causes trouble for others, you'll defintely love this series! If you have not bought this yet, do it! I watched the show first and it got me hooked on reading the manga, now I can't stop ^.^

The development of the manga just keeps on getting better. More mysteries more problems more action and more on developing relationships towards one another. This is a great manga and condition of the manga was good.
