The Wonders of the Color Wheel (My Little School House) Library Binding – August 1, 2013

I am an art teacher and this is a perfect short book to teach the younger kids about the color wheel.

I used this book for my elementary art students and they loved it. It's so cute and charming.

I am always looking for good story time books for toddlers and so I was really excited to discover this little gem. The Wonders of the Color Wheel is a good sized board book - not quite as large as a picture book, but still big enough for group sharing., The bright, bright colors and the easy flowing rhyme mark this as an excellent read aloud that deals with a popular subject for young story listeners.This book describes the primary colors and even delves into color mixing as it introduces the secondary colors of orange, green, and violet. We also see black, white, and gray. This is a wonderful choice for basic color learning, as it combines bright, clear pictures, prominent color words, and an energetic and engaging rhyme. The sturdy construction and the wipe clean board pages guarantee that this one will be able to take a lot of love and come out looking as vibrant as ever.
