Bleh!!! Get something else.
This is a very short, initial impression review. If my opinion changes, I'll update or write a separate review. I am on the fence about this laptop...I HATE the keyboard. I have missed strokes in every single sentence. You have to put an incredible amount of pressure on the keys to register a stroke, and the keys that are struck with the pinkies are especially difficult to get a good hit. It actually feels like I am typing on one of the old manual typewriters, if anyone remembers those. I have to go back and retype sentences constantly because of the missing letters. Occasionally, I will have double strikes with the same letter being typed twice.Another thing that irritated me about this laptop was the length of time it took to load up. It is expected for a brand new laptop to have updates available - it probably sat in a box in a warehouse for months, so updates have been released since it was manufactured. But, it literally took 90 minutes for this thing to download and install all of the updates. It was quite annoying. The battery is lackluster at best. It will last around 3 hours, which I suppose is not bad, but I was hoping for more. I suppose I could get a larger cell battery.Check your warranty online. Go to the Lenovo website and register your machine. I did, and it said that the warranty had been initiated in January of 2017, which is puzzling, because I just received it on 03 September 2017. I did an online chat with a customer service specialist and was told that "this happens all the time."Perhaps the most irritating thing about this laptop, even more irritating than the keyboard that I HATE, is the connectivity to WiFi. I do not have cable, so I watch movies and videos on my smart TV. I also have my cell phone connected to my WiFi while I'm home. Neither of those devices ever drop the WiFi signal, but this laptop does. Constantly. If I put the laptop in sleep mode...or even if I just don't touch it for a while, it will disconnect. When I try to get back on the computer, I have to manually connect to WiFi. Half the time, literally, it will not connect. It will show that there is no internet access. So, I will have to go into the settings and "forget" my router, then re-register it, entering the password again. I've done this MULTIPLE times since I received the laptop on Sunday. Today, no matter what I did, it simply would not connect. So, I had to unplug my router and allow it to fully reset. The computer finally connected at that point, but it shouldn't have taken that because both my phone and TV were connected and functioning the entire time. One last note......this review began with a 3-star rating, but the more I cataloged the problems I am having, and the more I had to type on this DREADFUL keyboard, the more irritated I got. So, it's now a 2-star rating.Find a better laptop.

Great at first Until it decides to stop working
I originally had a better review, however it has been just a little over a year with occasional use for gaming with the sims and some light internet searches and the laptop stopped charging all of the sudden and now it won’t even turn on. I have sent an email to the company and the insurance company and have yet to hear back. I would expect with spending this amount of money it would have lasted longer especially since it only has gotten light usage. I will update my review depending on the amount of time , and effort it takes to resolve this major issue. The other issue I had over the past year is the WiFi/ Bluetooth that’s built in is not very good as I had to purchase a separate antenna to plug in so I could actually use the Internet and we have a very fast and good WiFi service.

Constantly drops wi-fi
Someone I know who works at MS said that Lenovo is a great brand and this computer has all the right "specs". However, I cannot stream Netflix or videos on this computer without it dropping the wi-fi signal. I know the problem isn’t with my internet service-I bought a Roku and that streams just fine. That same MS person says there must be something wrong with the Wi-Fi card and it should be replaced. I bought this laptop when it when it first got listed on Amazon. I wish I had waited to see any reviews listed before buying it. Based on what customers are saying about it, I would not purchase it now.NOTE: Even though this computer comes with a DVD/CD/CD-ROM drive, it does not come with a Media Player to use it. You have to purchase Windows Media Player or some other type of Media Player.

Some issues but excellent customer service
The (Used- Very Good) laptop I received was in great shape and felt like good quality, not flimsy or fragile at all. It was also quick to boot up too & after having it on awhile, it wasn't overheating at all. Unfortunately though, I had some issues accessing Windows and a media driver, so I had to return it. The merchant's customer service was fantastic, however, so I really did not mind.

Used for school as a computer science major. Works great!
I bought this laptop for school. I am currently a Computer Science major, and this computer has been able to handle the code that I have thrown at it so far. (JS, node.JS, Python, php, and SQL). It's substantially lighter than my last computer, and smaller which is awesome. Enough storage for my needs. I've not tested any games on here, as I don't want to tempt myself to play games when I should be studying or working, but I would guess that it would hold up to a decent standard. All in all, its awesome, and I'd get it again.

Less than a year old and battery cannot hold a charge. HATE IT! DO NOT BUY!
Got this laptop a year ago for graduation. I was excited about it's small frame but good specs. It takes forever to do anything on it and the SHIFT key is smaller than most computers so the placement is very annoying. I hardly use this computer- only to watch videos or write articles and booting it up takes fifteen minutes; even out of the box. About a week ago I get this pop up message about the module error- now the battery does not hold a charge when it is unplugged. Not like the battery life was good anyway- one and a half hours at most.I really hate this computer- so buyer beware. This is the worst laptop I have ever owned and I had owned a seven year old hand-me-down mac book in 2009 that was faster than this one. If it was either this or a rock I would pick the rock because at least I can use it as a paperweight. I would not wish this laptop on my worst enemies due to the fact that destroying it would be too much pleasure. Even writing this review there are errors popping up left and right- completing any small task is a headache.

Great laptop, bad battery.
Computer is amazing, everything works as expected. I bought a used one as well! Just installed webroot and I’m set. The ONLY con to this laptop is that the battery life is terrible. A full charge will last maybe a few hours if you’re not doing too much on it. But when you get to 40% and you’re going through a PowerPoint or doing homework you can expect 30 minutes to an hour before it dies.

I really love this computer
I really love this computer. The only reason it didn't get five stars is because the screen is smaller than I was used to. A great laptop, however!
