Works as it should
Works fine for installing harmonic balancer on 1997 Chevrolet vortec 5.7... a little grease on threads and hand tools and one should get many uses out of this tool...

If you are like me, this is "one and done" usage tool, and for that it is perfect. Made the job of reinstallion quick and easy. Recommended.

Must have for reinstalling harmonic balancers.
Don’t cheap out and buy this much needed tool, stock crank bolts will only thread in a little ways and you run the risk of ruining the threads. This bolt goes half way in and grabs enough threads for a safe reinstall. Goes smoothly and has a 12mm ended bolt for ease of removal. The preferred method IMO.

It worked great on my 2010 Yukon with 5.3.

Only use it to get the pulley started
It works. Only use it to get the pulley started the first 1/2 inch or so. It will not hold up to the high torque required to get it all the way on. But at that point you can use the original bolt to pull it together. Great for the price even if you only need it once. Don't forget to oil the washers. I used assembly lube and had no problem at all.
