Didn't want the series to end ...
When our 14 year old kept telling me the Nine Pound Hammer was one of her favorite books (she read it in a book club), I not only got the Wolf Tree and White City for her, but read them myself. She was right! Good vs. evil ... action, adventure, and magic in a late 1800's steampunk setting. Wonderful American mythology woven throughout. Both character and plot development were exceptional, and continued evenly through the entire trilogy. His writing is so amazingly visual that to read a book by John Claude Bemis is to truly step into another world ... you can "see" it all around you as you're reading. Both our daughter and myself highly recommend his books!

Once again John Claude Bemis has nailed it. This is the third book in his Clockwork series. A must read.
