High quality & easy to put together!
We’ve now used the EZ Whelping Box for two litters, and it’s been a lifesaver both times. Setup and takedown couldn’t be simpler—it honestly takes less than 5 minutes. The panels fit together easily, it’s sturdy once assembled, and cleanup is straightforward. I also love that it stores flat when not in use, so it doesn’t take up extra space. If you’re looking for a whelping box that saves you time and stress while keeping your puppies safe and comfortable, this is the one. Highly recommend!

Great Whelping Pen - Perhaps a bit short for Giant Breeds
We've got a litter of second generation "Dane-Heavy Golden Danes," meaning that they're 1/4 Golden Retriever, 3/4 Great Dane, (Father is 50/50, mother 100% Dane). These pups are 35 to 40 pounds at 8-weeks of age, so a good Whelping Pen was a must! This is a fantastic product. It's easy to assemble in multiple configurations and we purchased the large size whelping pen - plus - the additional largest sized play area, (which has been a godsend, since we put a large-sized puppy "Loo" (dog litter box with the fake-grass astroturf-looking stuff), at that end to keep filth separate from food/sleep/play areas. It's worked fairly well. The edging rail system is cool and easy to assemble/disassemble, with the latter being the most important for us, as we didn't get much use out of it. I see what they were going for there - something to keep small pups out of the "wedge" where they can get smooshed by a nursing mother - but for our sized pups, this was convenient for about the first week after moving them from their "puppy pool" to this at 1-week.Once our pup's eyes opened and they became mobile, the safety rail became a booster to enable a crafty pair of them to jailbreak constantly!I LOVE and HIGHLY recommend this pen. If you've got small or medium breed pups - even large breed - this thing is going to be AWESOME for you!If you're rearing a litter, (especially a large litter - ours is 13 face-licking, gangly lunatics), of GIANT BREED dogs, just know that, by 5 or 6 weeks, the more athletic and crafty of your litter are going to find a way to escape over the wall! (We've got 2 of them that are like Michael Schofield on PRISON BREAK!) Be sure that the surrounding room is also Puppy-Proof, or you'll be chasing puppies everywhere.I do hope that the manufacturer will consider making a "Giant Breed" version in the future that will take wall height into consideration as well as length. I understand that using multiples of the same panel is price-effective, versus the cost of producing and warehousing much small numbers of different-sized panels, but even offering a panel-extension that fits into the pin holes in the tops of the upright panel junction mounts would be a good offering.Personally, I've purchased dowel rods and plastic screen from my hardware store and created a screened extension to deter the escape-artists from going over, but I don't think it'll hold up for long. Just hoping we're able to make it to 8-weeks and send most of these crazies to their forever-families!One thing to note, (and I should've taken a photo of this), the upright panel junction pieces are AWESOME! They have a hole in the center of them that goes to the floor. I went to my local Farm & Home Store, (Bomgaars), and purchased two, 4-foot metal rods, (in the welding section), and bent them each 90-degrees in a vice at about 16" from one end. I then bent a hook into the last 3 inches of the 16" bent rod and used that to secure metal-cone heat lamps to hang above the whelping pen. I then used automotive wire harness covers, (the long, black, ribbed plastic hose looking stuff with a slit down the side), to secure each lamp's electric cord to the rod, all the way to the pen's plastic upright and inserted the rod into the hole to the floor. (That was then all wrapped with electric tape to keep it secure). This gave me two heat lamps on poles that hung above the pen, which I could simply swivel out of the way when not in use, (to make easy access for changing out blankets or later gruel bowls, etc.). It worked GREAT!!!If you do this, just make doubly-sure that you secure the wiring like I did so that puppies cannot access it when they get bigger, (although in my case, we didn't need the heat lamps at the point that the pups were big enough to start chewing stuff).Final mention - If you get this, it's handy to splurge for the extra "Play Area!" Like I mentioned, we use that for a potty area. The ability to close off the pups in one area while cleaning the other has been AMAZING! Well worth the extra investment!

48×48 fits English Mastiff Puppies
I bought the 48x48 classic EZ Whelp and it nicely fits my 164 lb English Mastiff and here 3 newborn puppies. The bumpers are high enough for them to get under (each puppy was born at approx 1.5 to 1.8 lbs) Then bumpers have already saved them more than once. The box is HEAVY upon arrival so have someone that can lift it. It comes nicely packaged and no parts were damaged. It was very easy to put together. I've been wiping it down daily with bleach wipes and it is easy to clean although you do have to get into the honeycomb grooves. Those groves are what make it strong! The photo does show one of the extra 2 pads I bought. The one that comes with it is slightly a lighter gray and a slightly different material. I would suggest getting a couple replacement pads so you always have one handy while washing another. I don't think this will hold all the puppies the entire 8 weeks but for the first month it will be a life saver and has already saved us in puppies not getting squished. Easy to take apart and store between litters.

Fantastic box
So I’ve had this for a year. I absolutely love the design. It is extremely adorable easy to put together and take apart no screws necessary. It may be a little more pricey than some of the other ones are the quality as well worth it and you can connect them together I love the waterproof bottom that comes with save your floors. A lot of problems. If you get the right size pads, you shouldn’t have any problems about debris getting under the side walls. I also bought a heated pad and put it all the way under the bottom so it could not get wet. I thought that these used to come with holders for a camera or attachments, but I can’t find them, but was absolutely the best box I have gotten. I have Brad high-quality golden retrievers for over 40 years. This is my number one pic for welding.

Lifesaver!
My two frenchies had their puppies at the same time so I wanted something better to keep them in. They have a habit of laying on their puppies so the extra guard was a literal life saver. I love the materials of everything: walls, pad, bottom protector. Very easy to clean and everything held up very well. Extremely waterproof. I was hesitant on having this on the carpet but it kept it 100% clean and nothing soaked through.Easy to put together and the size worked. I wish it was slightly bigger. The multiple door slides came in handy, I didn’t realize how handy the different heights would come in handy.Take down is also very easy and fits back in the box for storage.
