Robert Rodriguez: Interviews (Conversations with Filmmakers Series)

This is a very informative and lively compilation of interviews with Robert Rodriguez, spanning his career from the early 1990s up to the early 2010s. Some of his less interesting films are awarded a generous word count (the Spy Kids movies for instance, which I find mostly irksome and grating) while From Dusk Till Dawn, his spirited vampire/crime picture, is given surprisingly little coverage (or at least not as much coverage as I would have liked). That said, there is still much to enjoy here and all of Rodriguez's most important, revealing and essential interviews are included in this volume. For that reason alone, I recommend this book to anyone with an interest in his energetic and entertaining works.

I really enjoyed this collection of interviews. To be honest, it doesn't really give any new insight into Rodriguez's films, but it's a great collection of never read before interviews and some familiar interviews that I like having in this one collection. The Kindle format is a great read and the price is good. $65 for a hardcover is way to much for this book. Worth it in the other formats.

Still a good read n learning from the best is always good in my book.
