PhotoKey 6 Pro

I love this software. Makes green-screening easy and works as it was designed to work. Some learning of the program is involved for but can be used right out of the box without instruction. Learning the program is always best for maximum creativity and quality. I without a doubt could have purchased the non-"Pro" version for less with the same usage and quality. Bought the pro version because I use it on several computers. You don't really need the pro version unless you are a professional photographer and plan to do a lot more than what most need green screen software for.

Never really got the results we were hoping for. Found it was easier to do the green screening in photoshop. Granted, if you're doing a bunch of batch work, photoshop may not be the answer for you, but for us it would have been better if we had just done that rather than buying this extra software. I was also disappointed with their customer service. When I send them a picture as an example of why I'm not happy with the product, having them tell me they think my picture looks fine (when it didn't) doesn't help.

The good news is the product seems to work pretty well. the bad news is there's no manual, there's videos online but that's not the same thing as a manual and the second thing is it does not work with 16-bit files only JPEG 8 bit or tif 8 bit. And it is really really slow working with Photoshop.

Nice product for the money

Software loaded fine on my Mac Pro running Sierra 10.12.1 Unfortunately, the Registration code is invalid. Trying to find support for this version has been difficult at best. I do not recommend anyone purchasing the ver 6 of this produt. I fear that it is so old they no longer support. If I receive a code that is correct I will be happy to follow up with my review.

We use this in a production environment for event photography - imagine all-day group photos at the zoo entrance - and this software has performed reliably and consistently. (Trust me, that's not a given for *any* product in this category!) The green screen masking works very smoothly, though it does require some tuning in inconsistent light. Masking (to block areas of the image from being replaced) is fairly easy, though it would be nice if it tracked the masks on a per-image basis. Image output quality is good, and there are convenient buttons for printing or saving, but it would be nice to have a defined output workflow you could trigger with one button (i.e., saves to a .jpg, prints, uploads, etc. all in one action). Would be nice to have a .jpg file output option in addition to .png. The software provides plenty of options for adjusting the foreground image's color, contrast, etc., which is handy for fixing color casts. It gives you lots of freedom to reposition the foreground image against the background, including rotation, scale, position, etc. Background images also provide lots of adjustment options for rotation, scale, etc. Finally, PhotoKey 6 lets you add borders to the finished image, but doesn't currently provide any way to easily add custom text to them, which would be handy for sports team photos, etc.
