M1907 Leather Sling - Leather & Brass Hardware U.S. Springfield WWI 1907 Pattern Leather Sling

I recently purchased the M1907 Leather Rifle Sling and I have to say, I am extremely impressed with the quality and craftsmanship of this product. Excellent leather sling. Brass fittings and copper rivets.Nice thick quality leather ,works best if you condition it right away .if rigged correctly it fits correctly.

I am an old school Marine and was taught the use of a sling for all positional shooting. This one fits the bill perfectly, nice heavy leather, very adjustable. If you just want something to throw over your shoulder, you can buy anything comfortable, but if you know how to actually use a sling, this is excellent. And if you don’t know the advantages of a good sling I strongly suggest that you look into it. You won’t want to go back.

When I first got the Sling, for my S&T 1903 Spring Rifle, for those who play Airsoft, it was a bit hard to figure out, but with the Help of Youtube and trial and error. it Locks in and hold true to it. maybe be a Tad small if your Heavier set along your Shoulders but like Good Leather a Few Stamps along it should give it a Few More Centimeters of Length.

The intent was to use these on our military Honor Guard rifles. Although they are very nice slings, they are too long for the rifles. The slings cannot be adjusted to be "tight" - and loose slings will not work for our purposes. I will keep them for use on my "shooting" rifles, but unfortunately will not be able to use them for military funerals. It appears the "short" strap is not short enough. The "long" strap is the same length as other slings on my rifles, but the excessively long "short" strap will not allow the sling to be tightened enough for our purposes. I could modify the "long" strap to make them work (maybe), but I would need to do that for all seven rifles.

It's durable aand finished well. I did have to think a minuet to remember how to put it on. I like it, old school quality. joe

Too long as others have said, but it's also too wide. It does not fit in standard sling mounts due to it's width.

Nice grade of leather and brass hardware. I am considering buying another one of these for a different rifle. Nice sling!
