Hayward SPX1084BPAK2 Gasket Replacement for Automatic Skimmers, Set of 2

I decided to replace my skimmer covers and gaskets since they were so discolored and gross smelling. I ended up having to drain a foot out of my pool so it was a good time to do it. Be sure you drain the water line to below the skimmer cover plates before removing them. Once removed I confirmed it was the source of the smell. After so many yrs I guess they just soak up water. Also found lots of tiny bugs living behind there. Just place gasket cover and reuse old holes to reattach screws. Will buy again if ever needed.I changed my stainless steel screws as well (Hayward SPX1084Z4A). The combination of replacing these three things really made the pool look new again on that side. Now on to the discolored stairs.

This is the best gasket I have ever bought. To be completely honest, I would also have to say it's the worst gasket I've ever bought, but that's because it is the only gasket I've ever bought. I don't know if it will work, because my husband has been to lazy to install it, but it looks really nice sitting next to the back door.

Pool was leaking and we were not sure what the problem was. Turns out it was around the skimmer. Bought this to replace the original one and it solved the problem.

This seems to be high quality material.. It came with 2 but I only used one.. Stopped the skimmer leak so I’m ver y pleased with the product

Works very well for one of the Skimmers. The other is probably too corroded to be fixed with this. Easy to install.
