Very Pleased!
Bought the RU41B4G-1T system on 5/21/17. Got it installed and running in two days- and took my time as I'm 60+. Very good video and several options (playback, zoom, etc.) available. Software was a bit of a problem at first, but patience (and a few cups of coffee) prevailed. I consider it money well-spent. Hope it continues to work well for another few years!July 5, 2017- System has had a "hiccup" or two, but a little patience and troubleshooting did the trick. Still works great!August 23, 2017- Still working just fine!September 5, 2017- System seems to shut down HDMI port about once a month. I've learned to disconnect the power input plug, count to ten, then re-connect power input plug to solve the problem. Otherwise, still very pleased.Oct. 30, 2017- Downloaded upgraded software (fairly easy) 1 1/2 months ago. 5+ months of 24/7 monitoring. No problems now. STILL very pleased.February 14, 2018- Still working with no flaws.September 29, 2018- Doing just fine. NVR no longer shuts down HDMI port since software update several months ago. Online 24/7 for well over a year with no problems to mention.

A good value, horrible manual but excellent customer support.
So what I love; the cameras are powered and video is run via a single Ethernet CAT5 cable!! When I first purchased I tested all 4 cameras on my kitchen table, simple as plugging in the cable to the DVR and camera ... they all worked! 3 stars since the manual was so bad and I had to call them to configure my phone App (and home router firewall). Customer support excellent however.Installation was as easy as crawling around your attic and running cables to eves where I attached my cameras. The only issue, if you call it that, was that the waterproof cable housing that is supposed to protect the connection between the camera and cable didn't fit the fitting provided on the 100' cable. No big deal, wrapped with electrical tape and shoved the connection up into the hole (and caulked the hold closed).Ok, so what "is" difficult about this product. Its the setup. The manual is designed as a catch all for several of their products including other DVRs and other cameras. As a result, the manual is poorly written since it covers to many different products and doesn't even have some basics for this product and its cameras. Electrons are cheap, you would think someone could spend a week writing a manual on each DVR and Camera, with COLOR representation of the DVR indicators.Having said all that, the basic, see your cameras works out of the box. Its the phone App setup and manipulation of your router firewall that is a pain. But if you call them during office hours, from your house, they can network into your computer and setup your router for you, which was awesome! They did get my setup fixed quickly and phone App working, so kudo's for that right! The DVR has SOOOOO many cool options. But like I said, you have to go through each option in the setup and try to correlate what the heck anything means with the manual. Its difficult. I finally figured out how to set all my cameras to the highest video capture resolution (lots of great settings) and its now recording 4 cameras around the clock. Its have enough default storage (1 TB disk) for 6 days of review.ISSUES:1) Playback is cool but the zoom function while under playback didn't seem to work to well for me.2) Don't expect to be able to read a license plate at 100' day or night, 50 ft at best.3) Manual (see above) is terrible4) Settings in Setup are not intuitive and you have to "explore" all the different setting to find how cool this DVR really is.5) Motion detection ... I had to turn it off as I received 100000000s of emails that motion was detected. It was just a moth!! You can setup a grid of where motion will be reported, I still use it but turned off email warning. I just have it popup a box (which I don't really use, just want playback to mark all the motion reports).6) Since I attached my cameras to the plastic under belly of my eves its not like being attached to a solid wall. So I guess when the wind blows there must be enough motion that triggers the tamper alarm .. again, lots of bogus email alerts.7) Not super wide angle but sufficient to cover my one car driveway and my neighbors driveway and garage door.GOOD:1) Cameras work great2) Installation was easy (but not fun crawling around the attic, ha, ha)3) Good customer support during their work hours4) Playback is great less the zoom issue5) App works well, you can stream at low rate (smooth) if you have low signal or high (clear). "Clear" really lets you see, for example, who is in a car in the driveway. The car is about 30 ft from the camera. Its blurred on smooth setting.6) Night vision is great, up to about 80-100 ft illumination as advertised. But again, don't expect to read a cars license plate at 100 ft (day or night). So if you want to keep an eye on bad guys checking out your car or identify who toilette papered your house, this is a great little camera setup. You can run an audio cable to the built in Mic (I wish it was part of the main cable capability) but for video only, its still great. DVR manual sucks but customer support (they will want to call you and not answer anything by email) is great.

Ghosting Warranty Claims
I bought this less than two years ago, the board in it went out, and now I can't get the manufacturer to repair it under warranty. After sending emails with no response, three phone calls where I stayed on hold for over an hour waiting to talk to someone each time. Only to be told to wait for an email that will have a shipping label and the email never comes, so I call back again a week later and sit in hold for an hour... I've been down for a month trying to get this resolved. Also, their online claim forms and product registration pages don't work, they throw an error and say try to again later. What a sham of a company that promises a 2 year warranty on all of their products then makes it impossible to make a claim.

Great value
INTERNET EXPLORER!!! You must use Internet Explorer when setting this up, nothing else works. Not Chrome, Firefox or Edge. Once done setting it up, download the REVO ULTRA app on your phone. Now, the system works great. I decided on this system because its POE, surveillance grade HD, and has a good phone app. The IR night vision cameras work surprisingly well. The only con is that bugs can set off the motion alarms, so mine went off constantly at night. I disabled the alarm notifications.
