ASC AudioCar Stereo Radio Install Dash Kit, Wire Harness, and Antenna Adapter to Install a Double Din Radio for Some Ford Lincoln Mercury Vehicles - Compatible Vehicles Listed Below

I was looking to put a double DIN touch screen entertainment system in my 2007 Mustang and needed a kit. This worked very well. The dash kit looks AMAZING. I wish the wiring harness had instructions because I had a hard time finding the dash light wire.One note: If, like me, your car has a Shaker 500 or 1000 subwoofer amp, you will need the 12v to 5v Axxess Interface AFDI-5V Ford 12V to 5V Step Down to trigger the amp otherwise the 12v signal will result in an annoying popping sound when you turn on your stereo.For the wiring, I took the harness from the new Pioneer radio and simply matched up the colors. soldered them and insulated with heat shrink to the Metra harness. Then I simply plugged this in without having to cut or splice anything in the car.

I used this to install a Pioneer in a 2008 Mustang GT. As you can see in the picture, it is a perfect fit. The wires in the harness were color coded and marked, so wiring was simple. I didn't even need a schematic, just matched color to color. This was my first attempt at installing an aftermarket stereo on my own, and this kit made it so simple that I can't believe I used to pay people to do it for me. I could not be more satisfied.

This was a very easy install. I did have to use my dremel with cutoff disc to remove the useless tabs; You have to be extra careful not to break the tabs you need, which is why I went with the dremel rather than snips. I also had to purchase electrical connectors for the wires, other than that, the kit was complete and correct for my '06 Explorer. The harnesses come with no instruction but each wire is labeled. I correctly deduced that the smaller harness was there to supply signal and power to the factory amplifiers... so yes, the factory optional subwoofer for the Eddie Bauer works great. My ford had three connectors, but the kit only comes with two...this is because there will be an unused factory Ford connector left over... probably for security system, but you don't need that with an aftermarket radio.

The kit included everything I needed for installation of a double din unit in my 2009 F350. The wiring harness was the correct one and the antenna adapter was also included. Everything snapped together properly. It is a universal kit so some of the tabs I didn't need were removed but they just snapped or cut off with wire cutters easily. It fit perfectly and even included alignment tabs for my dash to help me get it in place when I bolted it back up. This kit made installation a quick project.

This worked great to install my aftermarket head unit. Most of these kits are flimsy and done have even broken during install over the years. This is thick and sturdy. With the addition of the connection cables, this is a no-brainer. It made installation a snap.

This was super easy to install a new double din in my 07 f150. If you cant get the trim piece to fit, read the instructions and see which of the tabs need removed for your specific vehicle. They snap off fairly easily by hand or with a pair of pliers. You could also cut them with a dremel tool or something similar but i didn't find that necessary. The wiring harness was actually higher quality and better labeled than the end that came with my 200 dollar head unit, go figure.

Install Dash Kit was great. My only problem was with "setup" instructions with the actual car radio and I still am having issues. Turn the car on, the radio is so loud, it rattles the windows. Can't set up any other function also. Other than this issue, Install Kit, Radio are just what I wanted. Just need to set up and enjoy the ride.
