Seems like everyone is talking about maca lately. After reading about the potential difficulties of digesting raw maca, I picked up this gelatinized maca powder. It actually smells quite good, and it's extremely finely ground. When you taste the powder by itself, it's slightly bitter, but when added to a smoothie it adds a nice, subtle flavor. I'm happy to have a healthy energy and mood booster without any caffeine!

I add this to my smoothies and I don't notice that it alters the flavor much. I've used maca to treat my hormones for years but recently learned that gelatinized is much better for digestion. I've been very pleased with this. The biggest benefit I immediately see when I use maca is my skin is much more clear. I also noticed that my pms/ moods are much more stable. This is great stuff and seems to be high quality.

My husband says it appears to have an affect but he can hardly bare the taste. That could be a problem getting him to take it everyday but I'll try and figure something out.

Love my maca powder! It's reasonably priced for the quality you're getting (cheaper than others that I considered). It has a nutty smell and flavor and I add a teaspoon (recommended serving at a time) to my smoothies, coffee, and non-dairy drinks and they taste great! Has many great health benefits!

Instant energy much like strong coffee. The taste is different, nutty. I want to drink it like tea but the powder doesn't dissolve. Adding just water clumps up the powder like mud - yuk. I tried a coffee filter but it won't filter through even when I stir it. This powder is more for shakes or recipes with other ingredients to allow it to blend.

I put the indicated amount in my smoothie every morning love the taste

Zint is simply a great company. They appear to be environmentally conscious, and their product is easy to use, They state the Maca Powder is Organic. It is "gelatinized" which does mix with a little effort, but not quite as easily as "hydrolyzed"- as in the collagen powder they make. If they could hydrolyze the maca, as long as it doesn't degrade the product, then it would be perfect.
