Hearts in Darkness Collection (Hearts in Darkness Duet)

On its own, Hearts in Darkness was already an exceptional read, but with its sequel, Love in the Light, it's like getting the happily-ever-after compared to the more happy-for-now of the series starter. And now, with this anniversary collection, Laura Kaye gives fans and readers two short stories! Gah! Lovers at Dawn serves as a great in-between for the two novellas, while Forever in the Light is the sweet and swoony extended HEA that Makenna and Caden deserve, as do those of us who fell in love with them and their beautiful story. Experiencing their love story all over again with the two new stories felt like having a scrumptious sundae with extra chocolate sauce AND a cherry on top. So, if you're like me and have read Makenna and Caden's story before, I think you're going to want to get their entire love story in the Hearts in Darkness Collection, which I'm giving five-plus stars to.

I can't believe it's been ten years since Caden and Makenna's first story was released, but I'm so happy Ms Kaye has marked the occasion with this delightful collection that combines both original stories Hearts in Darkness and Love in Light which are fabulous with two bonus stories which are equally fabulous. And for me, it's a must read for anyone whose a fan of this couple and series.Would happily recommend.

This is such a special collection of stories. Caden & Makenna’s love story has all the feels. I loved the 2 original stories when they were first released, but Forever in the Light is the added cherry.The story starts with Caden & Makenna trapped in an elevator, I loved how their relationship grew, this wasn’t an easy journey to HEA but it makes the ending so much sweeter.Must read feel good romance.

The first book is definitely a win for me. The second book was good and kept my attention but I wasn’t as invested as book 1.

I was so excited when Laura Kaye announced she was going to be releasing a Hearts in Darkness collection- I remember loving Makenna and Caden when I read their books in 2016. I was kind of worried that I wouldn't feel the same this go 'round, but I'm so happy to report I loved them just as much, if not more! It was like visiting old friends and getting to know them all over again.Original Hearts in Darkness review:What an absolutely sweet, fun, hot, and utterly delightful read this was! He had such a rough life, he deserved all the happiness and I'm so glad he found Makenna and her family. Gosh I just them them so much!
