Lithuanian Knitting: Continuing Traditions Hardcover – 1 October 2015

This is a lovely book with more about Lithuanian knitting than I imagined could be known. Tons of research went into it. The book is very heavy on history and culture. It has some very neat technical information about knitting techniques that are unique to Lithuania. It has SOME patterns, but they only comprise a SMALL part of the book. Look elsewhere, if you are seeking a pattern book. Or borrow this from the library first, fall in love with it and then buy it. There is also a mitten knitting video related to the book.

It was a gift for my mom and she just loved it. She is an expert knitter who was seeking it out specifically, so that must mean something about the book itself.

I love books like this. They offer in -depth directions along with interesting historical background and traditions.

Excellent table book. Hope I can conquer the patterns.

This is a fablous book with lots of illustrations, stories, history and information about knitting in Lithuania. Highly recommended even though I did have to buy from Amazon USA - it's not available on the UK site.
