My wife has a red switch low profile Keychron K5 SE. Love the sound and look of it, so I wanted my own. Went with this version as I like standard key caps. Got the brown switch for a little more tactile feel. It’s perfect. Very quiet, with a buttery soft clunk on the keys. I use it in a super quiet office and no one says anything about it. No louder than a mouse clicks, but nicer sound. Looks so damn cool on my desk. The metal frame is a nice touch and the keyboard is hefty. Easily switched from wired to bluetooth and both work equally well. Lights are soft, but I can’t see them in my bright office so I keep them off. In a dark room, they would look so cool. Very nice features and fee to this keyboard. Keychron is a little more expensive but you get what you pay for. Makes me want to type everything out rather than copy/paste.

So far I am thrilled with the keyboard. Great price. Great layout. Got the Gateron G Pro Brown Switches and it is the perfect amount of touch feedback when pressing with a really nice spring, really helps reduce hand strain as I type all day. It's louder than a membrane keyboard but pretty quiet for a mechanical keyboard. Battery life seems really good. I got the aluminum one which is nice and solid but heavy. If I had to carry it around a lot, I'd opt for the plastic version for the weight reduction. Keys have back lighting and are easy to read.

This keyboard feels robust and delivers excellent sound. It strikes a perfect balance between creamy and clacky tones, making typing an absolute delight. It has completely overshadowed all other keyboards for me. I've experimented with keyboards costing over $300, and while they may feel heavier and sturdier, this one offers a smoother typing experience right out of the box—though it's also customizable to your preference. I've already swapped out the spacebar and plan to change more keycaps in the future. Additionally, I use this keyboard for gaming on my PlayStation 4, easily switching from a USB-C connection to Bluetooth. It's both efficient and versatile, ideal for both gaming and work. The battery life is not comparable though, to a logitech MX keyboard, which lasts for weeks on end without charging. but I stay connected and use Bluetooth only while gaming, and it hasn't died on me yet. (5 stars if it were not damaged) Full Review: I've been around computers for the past 25+ years of my life, I'm always excited when I get to try out some new hardware. I've been eyeing various mechanical keyboards over the past few years, yet purposefully have avoided getting into them due to the market prices for most of the products available. Having lurked around for quite a while, I took notice of the Keychron products, and their products at a "reasonable" price point really drew me into finally trying some out. I purchased both this K10 standard profile, as well as a low profile K5 SE - both with brown switches. Looking specifically at this K10, I was pleasantly surprised by the fit, form, and finish of the product straight out of the box. The packaging itself was laid out well, though the execution of the packaging could possibly be improved (more on that in a minute). Upon opening you'll find a layer of foam, followed by a getting started reference card to point out the various key combinations to perform the built in functions - such as connecting to 1 of 3 bluetooth connections, changing the lighting, etc. As I just mentioned, this keyboard can connect to up to 3 different bluetooth devices (obviously 1 at a time). Switching between the various connections is quick enough, though it's not instantaneous. This is to be expected with bluetooth however, considering both devices need to handshake to establish the connection. I will say that the speed of switching and reconnecting has seemed quite adequate. You can also use the keyboard in wired mode, which a USB A to USB C (right angle) cable is provided. The part of the cable having a right angle USB C connector is important to note, as the USB C connection on the K10 is on the left side rather than the back. From a design perspective, this is one place I'll knock this keyboard, as a rear connection (like the K5 SE!) is much more serviceable. The stock keycaps feel nice - almost as if they have a soft touch coating on them. I'm assuming they are just standard ABS keycaps, so not sure what is done in the process to achieve that finish/feel. That being said, I did purchase a set of PBT to swap out, primarily due to the fact that they match the color scheme of my home office. I would have zero issues with using the stock keycaps, but I would expect them to start to wear and "shine" over time. Luckily, should you wish to keep the stock keycaps, you can buy more from Keychron directly. Taking a moment to step back to the packaging. . . As I mentioned, I purchased both a K10 and K5 SE. Both keyboards came damaged on the top side of the keyboards. Since both of these keyboards were the aluminum variants, the aluminum is permanently damaged, sadly. The K10 specifically has nicks/chunks on the top rail, and the K5 SE has a dent. This is due specifically to how the keyboards are packaged in the box. While neither boxes had any sort of damage on the exterior, the USB cables were both shoved in tightly in the packaging in too confined of a space. This forced both keyboards to receive damage from the USB cable in some manner - either from initial packaging or from some force during transit. Keychron definitely need to consider adjusting the packaging, as 2 out of 2 damage in the same location is kind of telling. Receiving both keyboards damaged is the only reason I am dropping a star. Overall, very happy with the keyboard so far. Time will tell on how long they last, but here's to hoping for the best!

Purchased a Mac Studio computer and I needed a keyboard for it. I made the mistake of purchasing one of the many Apple Magic keyboard clones for sale here on Amazon no way I was going to pay $199 bucks for the real deal. This clone was an Mt Everest-sized pile of cow flop. I went to MacRumors and asked about keyboards. There I was told about Keychron. On their advice, I purchased the K-10. I am s high-speed touch typist and can get up to 65 wpm after a while. When I started typing on the K-10 it was a “sweet mystery of life I have found thee” moment. In the photo, you see the Keychron wrist rest which is a necessary item if you like to rest your wrists in front of the keyboard. I have the Brown Gateron switches. They are pretty good I would like a bit heavier switch. Because this is a hot-swappable keyboard I have many replacement switches to try to get things just right. This Keyboard is setup for a Mac but can be configured for Windows. All it takes to is to move a switch from Mac to Windows and install the supplied Windows function keycaps. This is a rock-solid keyboard heavy for its size. Advice: If you get the RGB version make sure you turn the backlighting off while on battery power and do not disable the automatic sleep mode if the lights are activated. If you don’t do this you will run the battery down in a couple of days. Of course, you can plug it in using a USB “C” cable your computer for power and connection. The sleep mode activities a 10 min of nonuse Get in the habit of pushing the space bar to wake up before you use it. Once connected wirelessly I have experienced zero dropouts in BT. One thing that would be nice is to have the battery state light on top of the keyboard and not on the side.

I wasn't sure what to expect going into this. I was replacing an older Corsair keyboard, and for some reason the noise from it had really started to bother me. It also had an annoying habit of hanging during boot on one of my older PCs. I've been using this keyboard for about two weeks now, and I absolutely love it. The keys feel smooth and satisfying to type on, and the sound is much more pleasant without being overly loud. My wife also reminded me that the keycaps are swappable, which is a nice bonus and opens up some fun customization options. Overall, I'm really happy with this purchase. The only thing I'd consider for next time is spending a little extra for a model with a volume knob.

I think this was exactly what I was looking for. It has the perfect keystroke for me, everything is very beefy. It does make that old type of keyboard noise from e keyboards of the past, but that is what I was looking for. I can really fly with this sort of feedback that I am receiving from this unit. It's heavy, so probably not the best to put on your lap for long periods of time. With most blue tooth items, it tends to shut down when not using. If I'm not paying attention, I will be 50 keystrokes in and then I realize that the keyboard missed the first five strokes. So, when you go back to the keyboard after not using, then you need to make sure it has woken up. The lights options are very subtle and it most certainly won't keep you awake if you sleep near it! I'm not sure how it might be for gaming as I don't do that. pros: great feel, minimal distractions from led lights, low sound, works for mac and windows (I'm using windows, battery has a long charge! cons: goes to sleep like other blue tooth devices, heavy for long term lap use, heavy

If you don't care about Bluetooth connection then it is an awesome keyboard. Heafty little guy with nice tactile key sound and feel. Two levels of height adjustment. This keyboard is known to have an issue connecting via Bluetooth and I experienced the same issue which is why I didn't keep it. But if you don't mind using the wired setting it's great all around.

Ich verwende die Tastatur nun schon des Längeren und kann nur resümmieren, dass ich vorher noch nie eine so wertige Tastatur verwendet habe. Die Gateron Pro Switche (tactile habe ich gewählt) machen echt einiges her. Auch im Vergleich zu herkömmlichen Cherry-Tastaturen, welche erfahrungsgemäß zumeist Plastikbomber sind, ist diese Tastatur genial. Es kommen extra Keycaps für Apple/Windows Belegung mitgeliefert. Außerdem einige für "bunte" Tasten. Als ich die Tastatur das erste mal in der Hand hatte, war mein Gedankengang, dass man mit der Masse auf jeden Fall jemanden erschlagen könnte. Die kleinen Füße auf der Rückseite sind leicht gummiert und lassen die Tastatur sehr stabil stehen. Eine Handballenauflage würde ich unbedingt empfehlen, andernfalls tun die Hände nach ca. einer Stunde schreiben/Tastatur verwenden etwas weh. Da ich unbedingt eine Tastatur mit Numpad erwerben wollte, war diese eine der wenigen Optionen. Die Tastatur ist umschaltbar zwischen "Apple"/- und Windows-Mode. Bluetooth mit Akku ist funktionstüchtig, ich kann aber kein weiteres Urteil hierüber fällen, da ich die Tastatur lediglich mittels des mitgelieferten gewinkelten USB-C Kabels betreibe. Das Kabel hat einen netten Stoffmantel, ist jedoch leider etwas starr. Fazit: Eine echt solide Tastatur, die ich uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen kann, vorallem, wenn man auf der Suche nach einer mechanischen Tastatur mit Numpad ist.

Awesome keyboard. To be fair, the brown switches are a bit noisy, but nostalgia set in the moment I started typing to the familiar clickety-clack that I remember from the 90's. If you ever used a Honeywell keyboard, you'll know the sound well! I also had a very specific need that the keyboard be both wireless and support connecting to multiple devices via Bluetooth. There too, this keyboard shines. Pairing and switching is super easy, and less prone to accidental switch-over compared to the MX Keys that I had previously. I can now switch between my desktop, laptop, and tablet effortlessly. The battery life may seem a little short, but that's probably because of having 104 multi-coloured LEDs going all the time. Easy enough to extend the battery life by turning the light show off, and if you don't mind leaving a charging cable plugged in, then you'll never run out of juice. Bonus feature is being able to charge the keyboard without needing to be plugged into a computer, so the keyboard will keep charging up, as long as you connect it to a standard charger. I also haven't used the software. Most people won't need to since the keyboard just works. The keys are a little resistant, which is perfect for me as I tend to pound on the keyboard anyway. That said, a couple of my fingers are a little weaker than the others, so I find myself making a few more errors than I'd like. The good news is that I can fix that issue quite easily by swapping out a couple of the switches for something a little more sensitive. Pulling out the keycaps and switches isn't the scary process it might seem to be, and is made much easier because the keyboard comes with the tools to do it. And this is where I hope I will have purchased my "forever" keyboard. My old keyboard broke because the keycaps and switches were a little too fragile. Since they were so low profile, they would also get gunked up too easily and require constant maintenance. The keys sit higher with greater clearance underneath, so a little dust and hair won't ruin your day. And if you happen to have a switch die on you - it's always the 'e', Enter, and space bar - you can replace it, and not throw away an otherwise perfectly good and expensive bit of hardware. Well worth the purchase price.

Just received the keyboard, typing my first impressions on it. TLDR: Keep away! Pros: - Good keys and sounds. - Standard size with no bells and whistles. Almost. Cons: - Doesn't work through USB hub in cable mode. - Doesn't have Scroll Lock and Pause/Break keys (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) - Doesn't provide a way to remap keys it does have instead of those. 3-rd party Utility from manual doesn't help. - Potential issues with BT mode (based on other reviews). Review: Keys/keycaps and click sound - good. Size - standard, nothing excessive, small bezels. Turning on in cable mode through USB 3 hub - doesn't work. Back light works, pressing keys results in nothing. Only fixed when used direct USB port on a laptop. Turning on in BT mode - seems to work so far. Many reviewers had problems with BT at later stages, so keeping an eye on this one. "Why only 2 stars?" - I hear you asking. Well, it is called a full-size keyboard, and it kinda is. It does include calculator keys. It is called a 104 keys keyboard, and again - it kinda is. But the 104 keys must be the 104 keys we expect, not just some random 104 keys. A keyboard with 104 "W" keys would not be very useful, would it? Check the attached picture of a keyboard - this keyboard does not have Scroll Lock key and Pause/Break key. There is no way to reprogram that useless trash they replaced them with back to regular keys. And most frustratingly - none of a dozen reviews mentions it! I happen to use these keys quite often in my work. Even on small laptop keyboards they are replaced by key combinations with Fn key, but not here. This is a "full size keyboard" after all. But photos are there on internet, so jokes on me, I guess. The included "manual" mentions the "remapping" functionality. To do this (I am not kidding you!) we need to use 3-rd party utility. Care to guess how many of the 2 keys I managed to remap with said utility? Correct, 0 (Zero). The manual doesn't even include the key combination. Just go to the web-site to learn them. Why? It's not like they are going to change. P.S. If Keychron "designers" are reading this - there is a reason why 104 key are what they are. If I didn't need 104 keys - I would not buy a full-size keyboard. But I do need 104 keys. Not 101, not 102, not 103 - all 104! Even if you are incapable of understanding it due to some cognitive limitations of yours - just take my word for it. What you do is not innovation. Give us a tool to reprogram the keys back to what they are supposed to do! This is something even you should be capable of. If not - at the very least put the warning on keyboard's page on your web-site. Until we get the tool - my rating stays low, and my advice - keep away from it. Buy a real full-size keyboard, not this "innovative approximation".

It's so hard to find a full size keyboard with North-facing backlights. I hate how Keychron primarily deal with South-facing lights as it makes most shine-through keycaps useless. For someone who primarily has his room in darkness shine through caps are a must. Even though I touch type there's heaps of programs (especially my main used program - Ableton Live) that I'm always searching for keys for the millions of shortcuts it has. I installed some pudding keycaps on the modifer keys and it looks great. Highly recommended!

Habe längere Zeit gesucht um eine Full Size, DIN-ISO-DE Tastatur mit Hotswap und BT zu finden. Die Tastatur ist sehr wertig verarbeitet und hat durch das Aluminiumgehäuse und die 4000mAH Batterie ein ziemlich hohes Gewicht. Das ist sehr angenehm, weil die Tastatur dadurch sehr sicher auf dem Schreibtisch steht und sich nicht verschiebt. Der Anschlag und das Tastgefühl der Brown Keys ist sicherlich Geschmackssache, für mich funktionieren sie sehr gut. Das muss aber jeder für sich selbst entscheiden. Etwas störend finde ich das die Tastatur nach 10 Minuten in den Energiesparmodus geht. Wenn man die Arbeit dann wieder aufnimmt, werden die ersten zwei oder drei Tastenanschläge nicht übertragen. Diese Energiesparfunktion kann aber abgeschaltet werden, daher ist das kein Minuspunkt. Für mich ist das die perfekte Tastatur in Verbindung mit dem Laptop im Homeoffice.
