Essential Horse Speak: Continuing the Conversation

I love the photos, details, and explanations. I am thrilled with this book. Such depth! The work that has been done to bring this to completion leaves me speechless and deeply grateful!

This is a great addition and extension to the first Horse Speak book, one that I will always refer to. HS doesn't replace a training method, it is about fundamental communication and understanding of how horses live in this world, and how they make meaning. We can participate in this with them, no matter what else we are doing. The book is detailed and very understandable, and along with Wilsie's online courses and clinics, HS deepens our relationships with our horses. Highly recommended!

This book is not based in reality. I recommend not buying it.

This is a really fascinating book. I’ll have to reread it and take notes. There are so many gestures and small movements that can have multiple meanings. And many gestures I didn’t realize had any meaning at all. I feel like I’ve confused a lot of horses in my life! I wish there was a video companion piece to this work as some of the subtleties are hard to envision. Still, a must read for anyone who works with and loves horses.

I refer to this book and her other two daily. Leant them to friends and they are amazed how it all works. Best books I ever bought.
