For the price, I wasn't expecting the quality to be this nice. My only complaint is that it doesn't have screws with, but I knew that beforehand and had some already.Opens and closes easily and feels solid.

This is more waterproof than other designs. It seems to work fine so far.

Great product, however. No hardware was included. It would be NICE if they would include a positioning and drilling template with the kit. The template might cost them 5 cents to include.

My decision was based on lid design and preventing leakage. From reading the reviews on other designs in this price range, the biggest complaint is leakage. I like this design because the lid covers the whole lid including frame. Other designs, the lid is recessed into the frame. In this design there is an inner O-ring that is integrated into the lid verses other designs have the O-ring integrated into the frame. In this design, when water is dribbled onto the top, it roles off to the outer edges vs the other designs where the water sits between the frame and lid. I'd like to thank the person who designed this kayak lid. It is very ingenious. I would have paid alittle more for this superior designed product. So this item exceeded my expectations. Material wise, it is slightly below more expensive covers I've owned in the past. The inner bag is not water proof and is thin nylon. Regardless, for the job of a non leaking kayal lid, this design does a better job than the others.

Good quality hatch, but it didn’t include screws to mount. I returned the 1st delivery due to missing screws and the replacement also had missing screws. I decided to say screw it, and purchase some screws at a specialty hardware store.
