Actually impressed
I don't normally write reviews, but I felt I needed to for this item. I read all the reviews about quality and how they weren't amplified and was a little worried. I am running a baofeng radio and these actually work great with them. I put the batteries in and turned on the headset, volume buttons worked and the electronics side of these worked as described. I sent my kids across the lake (only 450 yards away) with another radio so we could test the voice quality. They came through very clear and perfect volume level. When I transmitted (using the headset) they said it sounded like our normal radio volume and clarity to them. I was very happy! Then I discovered the part I liked the best, you don't have to have the power on, on the headset to send snd receive with the headset. My only complaint is the fit of the headset, they are very loose on the ears. Other than that I have been very happy with them.

Cheap garbage
I won't even attempt to try these on the range. I can already tell they won't protect your hearing. The foam is cheap and won't sit firmly enough. The sliding brackets are cheaply made and thing. I'm going to use these strictly for vehicle cons. If it wasn't for that I'd just throw them away. Push to talk seems decently made. Couldn't get the mic to seperate without making it feel like it was going to break. Spend your money elsewhere
