I`ve studied from this for the Core1 and passed the exam on the first attempt. I`ve also watched some online video tutoring materials but found them lacking. Having access to mock exams also helped me a lot in preparing. The only thing I find a bit odd is the placement of pictures in the book - sometimes you have to turn a page to view a pic related to the previous 2 pages but this is an editing issue. The book itself has review questions at the end of each chapter and it also provides access to an online test bank. All in all, I am happy I chose this book. Now preparing for the Core2. Passed exam on first attempt
I like this book very much; it is thorough, covers all the objectives and also provides additional info that is useful to know if you want to work in IT. Excellent study guide.
I have used their ITF+ study guide and it helped me to pass the exam first time. This book is huge and split into 2 sections for each part of the A+ exam which follows the same format as the previous one. I will use this and some on-line resources like before that I found on YouTube (Professor Messer to name but one) to get prepared for the exams. Useful digital resources included with the book as well which include test banks and flash cards.

Really good and got a lot of detail.
I am wanting to learn Cisco Networking and I bought this book to help give me a better understanding for networking. And my god its packed with details. This book has the ins and outs to so much technology. Would recommend if your getting into IT stuff

The content in this book is great and will help you for the exam. But I suggest getting the Ebook instead. The book is massive. It probably could be split into two large books itself. If that doesn’t bother you then power to you!

Ich habe mich zunächst mit diesem Buch eingearbeitet. Danach habe ich noch einen Online-Kurs belegt und dann mit den Prüfungsvorbereitungen begonnen. Man merkt dem Buch an, dass einige Beschreibungen sehr formalistisch erstellt worden sind. Das hat aber keine Folgen für die Qualität der Ausführungen. Es wirkt sich nur eventuell auf die tägliche Lerndauer aus. Wer mit monotonen Ausführungen nicht umgehen kann, wird das Buch in kleineren Abschnitten lesen können. Alles was man braucht, ist darin zu finden. Wen dagegen Monotonität nicht hindert lange zu lesen, kann auch sehr lange Lernzeiten mit diesem Buch verbringen. Ich fand das Buch gut und äußerst hilfreich. Entsprechend einfach vielen mir auch die Prüfungen. Die Besonderheit besteht in der Reihenfolge der Darstellung. Die Breite der Darstellung fand ich angemessen. Wer weniger Praxis hat, wird vielleicht längere Darstellungen wünschen.
