who came up with the horrible design of threading a stand pipe on the inside of the drain instead of outside like a normal drain would have. Water has no choice but run down the threads. The only hope anyone has is teflon tape or pipe thread putty holding on the 1/4 of threads. Moest retarded design I've ever seen. It might work today but you will be buying a new vanity tomorrow. Oh and also 30 mm is not 1 1/4. good luck trying to get that seal to work. total junk.I installed this with silicone gasgets and it leaked. Then removed included gasket at top and used plumbers putty instead and it leaked still. I applied plumbers putty under and leaked, teflon and it leaked , itr leaked , it leaked in every way I could install this for 4 hours different way and it leaks. I finally used silicone then tried holding water in bowl. It couldn't hold water at all. after messing around with that useless pop up I looked under and it still leaked. It now belongs to the trash.

Lowest price I could find anywhere and great quality. No more fiddling with the pop up mechanism under the sink. Sink drains normally now. Should have done this ages ago.

I went through probably 5 different drains before finding one that works. The house came with the bathroom with the copper bowl sink. The drain was the flat drain that caused the water to drain very slowly. I finally found this one that not only had a long enough threaded portion to go through the bowl and the countertop, but also did not have a small extra ring to hold the top portion on. Other drains had this, and the drain then would not fit into the copper bowl.Since this has the removable top, we can clear the drain if/when there is any sort of actual clogging. It goes well with the copper bowl. No complaints as of yet.
