How does this compare to the body back buddy tool? looks like the other one has more massage points but wondering if i'm overlooking ease of use, etc.

I have both, this is a knock-off, the material functions as well, there are less knobs, and for massaging my back and neck I like this one better. It is a little bit lighter, and I think it's easier to use. The body back buddy is sturdier though, I think it is unbreakable.

Is this only for external use?

Why is this model significantly cheaper than other similar items? What am I missing?

I am a PT and have now switched over exclusively to this product. The more expensive "canes" are almost identical in quality. This is a GREAT deal and I highly recommend this product.

Does this come with an instruction booklet?

Yes, it has a booklet showing areas where you can use it. I love mine. I'm borderline fibro and this helps.
