Excellent Technical Resource
This book is well written with lots of technical detail that is normally glossed over in other websites. Author also brings in differences of world wide mods to the F-4s. Enjoyed this book immensely. But don't expect design blueprints or drawings, e.g. nose gear or refueling receptacle details....it simply doesn't have them. I just enjoyed the clarity of the writing.

Slight criticism
Nice collection of diagrams and photos. Unfortunately doesn't mention the 4453 CCTW at Davis Monthan. I was a flight line maintenance officer there (1967 - 1970) and we trained all the USAF F-4 pilots with, frequently tired, F-4Cs.. As I recall, as well as the USAF pilots, we trained air crews from Britain, Germany, Israel, Japan, and South Korea. When we weren't sure of their qualifications, we had a fleet of T-33s to check them out in.

Nice but only in paperback
I love this series of books. Great info on a classic plane from the recent past. Nice but when it arrived it was the only book in this series that came as a paperback.

Good, but missing details.
Worth the money - I worked on the F4 during the '70s, this book covers a lot of the details. Lots of reminders of the good old days. A lot of missing detail, too much space dedicated to the restoration project. Missing details about instruments, equipment, variations between models.

This is a book on the RAF Phantom FG.1 and not too much on the F-4
Book is a little disappointing as it covers mostly the RAF F-4K and F-4M (FG.1 and FGR.2). If you looking for a book on the real F-4 (J79), not just the spey powered RAF versions, look elsewhere. At least I got a good price though!

Usual Haynes quality
Excellent overview of this aircraft with usual quality from Haynes. Would have prefered a hardback cover but there you go.

Worst every penny
I enjoy this book a lot, like all the other titles of this series in my possession. Great detail and a great reference book for everyone who loves the Phantom 2.I also have the 707, Buccaneer, DC-3 and others ... these books are a joy to read and search for reference in it. You will revisit this book many times as a guide after reading it the first time.Worst every penny.
