How to run a chamber (or nonprofit) without losing your mind
You'll find wisdom galore in this clear and concise book written by a Chamber CEO with over 20 years of experience. Much of this information is chamber specific such as the chapter, "51 Programs Your Members Will Love." Other chapters cover strategies helpful to any nonprofit organization such as why you should have a board retreat and finding a cash cow for your organization. She also provides helpful words of encouragement on how to deal with the overwhelm which often accompanies running a chamber of commerce. You may find Chapter 7 both challenging and helpful: "You Are In the Entertainment Business." Ignore this advice at your peril because we live in an infotainment age.Want to be a hero to your chamber CEO? Buy him or her a copy of this book!

Good info, but left me wanting more detail.
It was a good book, since it's the only one on the market for the topic, I am glad that it was there. Quite limited information, wish it was more detailed on specifics like building membership. Author us no doubt successful in her role, just wish more detail and less autobiography.
