Swag Gear Wood Locking Stash Box with Lock and Rolling Tray (Dark Brown)

This is a stash box, not a jewelry box. I don't think it should have quite the same level of finish, but if i'm being critical, there is a flaw in the finish. The structure is basic (joints, species of wood, hinges, etc), but is solid and attractive. Overall a nice stain despite the flaw. In fact the flaw is so minor (visible from the back) that I haven't filled it in with a stain marker yet. This is definitely worth displaying on a book shelf, as-is. It could use another 1/4" in height, but the main compartment is large enough for most containers. Overall this is a fantastic value. I went to school for Carpentry and have made a jewelry box before .... the price is less than the materials would cost me to make it!

I know it's just a wood box, but it's really pretty. I bought it for my teenage son, he is always making things and I thought he might like it for storing small items. My husband remarked on how nice it was when he saw it. I will agree, it could be used for various things, it's very pretty and impressive. This is not cheap-looking. I thought my son would maybe store his small telescope lenses in it, but nope, he put his wires and trinkets from where he makes his little experiments. Oh well, he uses it, but it would look nice for an adult to use for other things like: bowties, jewelry, coins, arrowheads, maybe cigars, etc.

Got this for my granddaughter, she loved it. Great keepsake, had her name engraved on the top using my handwriting. She loved the fact that it locks. It’s well made and sturdy. The color is rich looking. I would recommend this for anyone. Very well packed, no damage and fast shipping.

It has a rolling tray (the lid) and it can store the items I want perfectly fine, and stay locked.Onto more specifics: the quality is okay (you get what you pay for). I am expecting a lot of wear and tear to be shown on the box after a couple months of use. There are three compartments in the bottom half of the box that all have a depth of a little above 1.5”. The two smaller components are 3.5” x 2.25” and the larger one is 7.25” x 4.5”. The larger component can be supplemented by the lid because when closed, the depth of the larger component then equals to a little above 2.5”. This is due to the rolling tray portion being 1” deep in the lid.All-in-all, I am satisfied with the purchase. Could it be better? In terms of construction, probably. Is it too small? Depends, but I dont have any huge items I plan on putting in it and it’ll most likely store what I want to store just fine.Please be aware of the dimensions of this box to plan accordingly.
