Wow! This is tiny.
Mouse came exactly when it said it would. It is ok. I paid attention to the dimensions it listed but I guess I paid the most attention to the length of the mouse and not the width. This mouse is TINY. The retractable cord mechanism I didn't like at all. It was cheaply made. When you pulled the mouse out it would pull the plug part out too then you couldn't get the part of the cord by the plug back in to the retractable mechanism. It just seemed cheap to me. It will do what I need it to do but I have to be honest, I ordered a regular corded mouse the next day. I would recommend the Logitech Corded Mouse M125 though. That was the mouse I used before I accidentally hit the cord while it was plugged in and broke it. I was going to buy another one but I didn't want to spend that much. I'm a cheapskate. This one worked for the most part. It didn't work too well on my laptop (I use it next to the touchpad on the open space on my laptop under the keyboard) like the Logitech one did but if I am in a bind or traveling and need something compact I will go to this mouse.

Not the mouse pictured.... but still fine
I'm going to give this a passing rating because it serves its purpose as a really cheap, no batteries needed, portable mouse. However, the mouse I received looks pretty much nothing like the picture. It's still black, but there is a lot of clear plastic areas on the mouse that light up and alternate between different colors. The general shape of the mouse is different as well. The mouse I got is a lot skinnier than the one in the picture, and also looks a lot more plasticy (again it's a cheap mouse it does serve it's purpose so i can't complain too much). Also the logo is in different spot, and the red light that is in the picture on the back of the mouse isn't there.Yes this mouse served my purpose for a really cheap mouse that doesn't need batteries. I really like the retractable cord.I'm really disappointed though that the mouse most people seem to be getting is a completely different one than the one being pictured. While it worked out fine here, this could cause for some really big issues if another product was to do the same...

Nice Travel and College Student Mouse
This Belkin mouse it pretty cool for its size! Im a college student and I needed a small yet usable mice to go along with my Toshiba Satellite A505 laptop. I did not want to spend too much money on the mouse because it would be only used for a laptop, i could have paid about $10-12 more for a larger full mouse. But for the price its good quality and really good for college kids and for a traveling person. The retractable cord is ideal for a traveling person and for a college student as myself who is always having to unplug things from her laptop on the desk to take it to class. The scroll wheel is nice for a mouse this size. Optical sensor mainly used to indicate that the mouse it on. Mouse is great on all surfaces pretty much...the track ball moves very well. I love the fact that there is no SOFTWARE to install. Overall great, I would definitely buy another one.

good mouse, weak points in construction
This is the third one I've bought for my daughter. The weak point is the cable. The mouse itself works great. The problem is the wire conductors inside the cable. The conductors break inside the insulation from flexing. The first one broke where the cable enters the USB connector. The second one broke where the cable enters the mouse housing. They look perfectly fine, not even a bump in the insulation where the break occurred. The connection goes intermittent and then finally fails altogether. If you will be using this mouse A LOT, then it will fail.I use the same mouse on my laptop and it still works fine after a few years. But I only use it occasionally. My daughter uses hers every day.We just got her a new laptop with a touch screen so this third mouse will probably last a good, long time. She hardly uses it now.For light use only.

Nice, but a little fragile.
I've used a number of different brands of portable mice over the years. This Belkin is definitely among the nicer, with one caveat: I find they aren't quite as durable as some others. The mouse tracks well over a variety of surfaces (glass table tops excepted), the track wheel rolls smoothly and the buttons start out with a nice degree of resistance. The cord reel is less prone to tangling than some others.Unfortunately, I find that after a few months of riding in my bag, the buttons start to get jammed and are increasingly hard to click. I admit that I am not as careful to prevent rough handling as I should be -- and if you're careful to keep the mouse off the bottom of the bag, you probably won't have this problem. But while they last, they're good enough that I overlook the relative fragility.

Third One - Really Appreciate The Small Size
I purchased the first of these 3 years ago when I needed a small and compact travel mouse. This is very easy to use despite the size (about business card size) and the retractable cord means the cord stays out of my way. These last about 9 months to a year and a half, after being banged around quite a bit with my constant traveling. Since it is so small and light, I don't worry about weight or size restrictions and it's easy on the back as I carry my laptop through airport terminals.I'm happy to keep buying this - it is comfortable to use.

Good little mouse, but...
These little mice are great. Retractable, come in colors, small enough to carry around but not so small it gives you carpal tunnel when you try to use it. The scroll wheel is slightly rubbery in texture (but is hard inside) so its got nice grip to it. Buttons are pretty okay. Now to the only bad thing about this mouse: I've owned two of these mice already, and both times after about six-eight months of use the mouse is no longer detected by the computer. I've tried the mouse on multiple computers, and some say the driver has gone missing or the device has malfunctioned. And you cant download a driver for it, so it just kind of dies after a while. If you want a temporary mouse, get this one...otherwise, grab some other brand that doesn't malfunction.

Small and as good as wieless
This is the second one of these I've bought and very useful little gadgets they are too - once I got used to the size of the thing and the clicking is a bit stiff until broken in.... I wouldn't go back to an old clunky mouse.... It's great being compact - and of course no dangly cable.... for those of you who've gone wireless and fed up with having a charger and more stuff to put in your bag - give this a go
