Surface Pro7 Plus で動画編集や画像編集を快適にするために購入しました。仕様環境は型番：1NG-00013 (Corei7/32GB/1TB)でOSはWindows11 Proです。USB-C接続で使用したところ、スピードは私の環境では最大読込1065MB/秒と、メーカーが謳う最大読込速度の1000MB/秒に達していました。明らかに550MB/秒を謳う外付け製品より早いです。事務用で使用しているUSB3.0のポート搭載のLGのノートPC (2018年発売/Core i5 /Windows 10 Home)にてUSB-C接続で使用したところ読込速度は大体550MB/秒でした。USB3.0規格の最大読込速度程度で動作しているのでこちらも規格通りので納得です。PC側にスピードを生かす仕様のポートが採用されている場合には納得の速度での動作をしてくれています。デザインもミニマルでシンプルなのでお気に入りです。

This external solid state drive is a pretty small portable solid state drive but it is a little thicker to have the heatsink. The case is still pretty protective. For the drive inside, I am unsure what brand drive but the transfer speed speed is pretty quick but everything depends on the medium you are using. You actually can put another drive inside as you can access the inside by removing the four screws. If you are planning to use this for games, I will say this will work for what you need for your gaming system. Unfortunately it will still up fill up fast as games are like 50 GB nowadays. I would also recommend that you plug this in type c to type c for best transfer speed. If you are going to use this for high quality photo and video, the data can fill up pretty fast even with your pictures and videos as many of them are bigger sizes now. The 1 TB is the bare minimum nowadays especially with how game, video, and pictures sizes. I verified the memory and it is 1 TB. It did not take too long to verify. It was about under about two hours to verify the device memory. I did try it with thunderbolt and type c ports and the average was the same as this is not thunderbolt enabled. It was around 150 MB/s between it and another portable drive. It only comes with a decent length cable. If you are going to use this on a mac, please note that you will have to actually format the drive to get it to work properly (meaning transfer to and from the device as it will read no matter what). The case is little thicker but still a small device. It is copper heat sink so you get a good passive cooling without fear of the drive breaking. The casing is pretty protective but it is easy to scratch up. The cable is decent length. The cable itself is a bit thin which makes me worried it will get twisted and tangled overtime that may cause it to break. The device is pretty light. Based on the drive look, I cannot say if it is water resistant so I avoid getting water on this device as much as possible. It can remain plugged in for long periods of time without any heating issue or connectivity. Overall I think this is a good drive. You can use it for gaming but it will fill up super fast considering the game sizes these days but it is a decent size drive case.
