Overall, a great fan for the price.
I've been using the Amazon Basics 3-Speed Box Fan in my bedroom for a while now, and I have been very happy with it. The airflow this fan produces is impressive, especially for its size. Even on the lower settings, it moves a good amount of air and helps keep the room comfortable. I even use it in our hallway to push airflow through the house and it creates a nice breeze. In terms of the material its made of...its a hard plastic that in my opinion helps reduce noise levels. I've owned box fans in the past that rattled, vibrated, or made annoying noises due to the metal frame, but this one runs smoothly with no rattling or extra noise allowing it to provide a steady soft fan sound that's also great for sleeping. Another feature I appreciate is the power cord length giving it great portability. It's long enough to be practical in just about any bedroom setup, making it easy to position the fan where it's needed without immediately having to reach for an extension cord. Overall, this is a reliable, powerful, and surprisingly well-built fan that does exactly what it's supposed to do. If you're looking for a bedroom fan with strong airflow and solid construction, this one is definitely worth considering. Especially for the price.

High Quality - Reasonable Price.
Pleased with this fan. Would purchase again. Good price. Excellent protective packaging. Powerful air flow. Quiet. Easy to access 3-speed dial in front. Larger then usual feet. Sturdy. Ready for use in a few minutes. Lightweight.

Not as strong as other box fans, but it looks good and does the job well

Strong, Stable, Quiet (relatively speaking), but not Self-Repairable
A powerful, relatively quiet box fan! Good for normal amounts of use and good for the price. Bought this almost a year ago and unfortunately (possibly because of heavy nonstop use) I am having to replace it. It's not broken and hasn't weakened, however it started squeaking about a month ago and it has steadily gotten worse. It doesn't squeak constantly (more like half the time) but the sound is extremely irritating. I bought some fan-appropriate oil, hoping it was an easy fix, however after opening up the fan (about 12 or 13 screws, Phillips head), found the I could not remove the fan blades from the mechanism used to spin them, even after unscrewing the knut holding the blades in place. I was unable to reach the appropriate part to apply oil because of this construction issue, meaning the squeaking was unfixable. Already ordered a new fan. Again, this fan is really great for the price, but be aware it is not made to be self-repairable. If it starts to squeak after heavy use, you may not be able to do anything about it.

One of the best boxfans on Amazon!
After my most recent Lasko box fan's switch shorted out, literally arcing, I was in the market for a new fan to help regulate my quirky body temperature. (I can't remember the last time I was comfortable without a box fan handy! First world problems, am I right?) At first I was just going to continue the endless cycle of household Lasko fans that my family has dealt with for many years, so long in fact, that we have a "graveyard" of fans in the garage from which we can draw parts for the darned things. That's neither here nor there, but is, if that makes sense? Anyway! After looking at the prices though & spotting this cost effective Amazon Basics fan, I thought, why not give one of these a try? When it arrived I was charmed by it's sleek looks. It's the same size as the model of fan I was used to using. The power level was easily on par with, if not superior to the model that I was used to using. Quality wise though, that's where it really shined! Lasko fans are notorious for their cheap plastic legs (feet?) breaking if it suddenly gets mildly offended at something you say in it's direction. After which time you have to either buy costly replacements or prop the thing up, blocking part of the airflow, but saving the money. This model of fan won't ever have that problem though. It has good quality one piece legs that screw into the bottom of the fan that support it both from the front & the back. These will not snap even if it gets tipped over. I think I fell in love with it just over that one point alone! It also doesn't have the protruding handle & dial on top of the fan. Instead the dial is flush with the face of the fan in the upper right hand corner but doesn't impede the airflow as far as I can tell. Portability isn't lost with this model either. The handle is moved to an out of the way position at the top/back of the fan, with a minimal profile to prevent blocking airflow, which allows you to easily move it when necessary. Furthermore, with the dial & handle moved away from the top of the fan, it makes it far more convenient for putting this fan in the window. The only detracting value I can possibly see in this fan would be for those whom use fans to generate white noise. The noise level produced by this fan is negligible when compared to it's contemporary Lasko fan models, so you might want to keep that in mind when shopping. For me, this is a non-issue, so my sleep quality is perfect with my beloved new Amazon Basics fan!

More quiet that a Lasko fan!
Compared to the cheap Lasko fans available at Walmart and Home Depot this fan is more quiet on the high setting that the cheap Lasko is on the low setting. On low the airflow is still good and you can watch TV or have. Conversation over the low noise, something not possible with the Lasko. The frame is plastic unlike the metal frame of the Lasko and the 3-speed switch is located up in the corner of the front grille instead of on top. Also there isn't a protruding handle on top, it's built into the top face of the back grille. I was looking to get a more quiet box fan and this on fits the bill!

Clicks and squeels, Just buy a Lasko
If you're like me and you run a fan in your room 24/7 for the white noise, and for sleep, you'll hate this fan, it works fine keeps the room cool, and seems quality enough and looks nice. But I've owned it since February and it's developed a constant clicking after about 3 months with an occasional high pitched squeel that last until you wack it, and for us white noise users it's really annoying. clicking wont go away with a wack though. my previous fans have been Laskos, those things can be ran 24/7 for close to 10 years straight and not complain once about it. Just get a Lasko.

Pretty good, not great!
it is a flimsy floor fan that tips over if even the slightest touch addendum: I gave it an unfair rating as when I looked in the box I saw that there are feet to install which will stabilize it so its my fault that it was unstable, I give it a 4 star now, not 5 because I think it does not cool so well but otherwise for price fine

No tan bueno
A veces siento que da mรกs calor que frescura. Ni por tenerlo montado en la ventana.
