Very hot
Just as hot as halogen bulb. Bought LED so would be cooler in temp within the studio but might as well have stayed with what I already had.Very saddened by this product

This is equivalent to a 15W incandescent at most
This 8 Watt LED is supposed to be equivalent to a 60W halogen at least. It is not! It's about equivalent to a 15W incandescent!Edit: It turns out that the connection in my lamp was so poor that the LED bulb wasn't getting enough current to power the LED. I think these LED 'equivalents' are 1mm shorter than the halogens they replace, so as long as your lamp can adapt to this length, they will work ok.

Have a high frequency flicker like a strobe effect if you move your had quickly you can see it

Replacement bulbs
These replaced halogen bulbs in my floor light, which I use when stitching or reading. It's a warmer and gentler light - fine for reading, not so good for embroidery.
