Wireless Audio for Xbox—With a Mic That Works!
This adapter is a fantastic find for Xbox users wanting wireless audio without the high price tag. I use regular wireless headphones (no mic), and the built-in mic on this unit works beautifully. One caveat: if your headphones have a mic, it won’t be used—this adapter only sends audio, not two-way communication. That said, I knew this going in thanks to my own research, and the vendor was transparent. Great product, great price, and a great vendor.

Great audio but mic isn't ideal.
Works great for Bluetooth headset audio! Sound quality was better than wired because there is no popping, crackling, or hearing the cable move. However, i don't use the mic ever so that feature was not important to me. The headset mic does not work via Bluetooth so if you plan to use the mic be aware that the mic is attached to the controller. Battery life on the controller will be reduced because the Bluetooth adapter uses power. I found it reduces battery life by about 30% which isn't bad.

The audio lag is strong with this one
Fool me once, shame on you; fool me after reading the reviews and still hoping for a miracle? Shame on me. I really, really wanted this Bluetooth adapter to be the answer to my gaming comfort woes. My trusty over-ear behemoth starts feeling like a medieval torture device after a mere hour, and while earbuds are comfy, they do not work with our proprietary consoles. So, against the warnings of the reviews, I took the plunge. Gotta give it to them on aesthetics – plugged into my controller, this Bluetooth adapter looks slick. It's like they were designed to be soulmates. For a fleeting moment, I thought, 'Maybe my experience will be different!' Narrator: It was not different. The second I jumped into a game, the audio lag hit me like a rogue turtle shell in Mario Kart. We're talking a noticeable delay, somewhere between a quarter and half a second. That might not sound like much, but in the heat of battle, it's enough to throw off your entire rhythm. Swinging my virtual sword felt less heroic and more like bad dubbing in a low-budget action flick. The 'shwing' came after the slash. Immersion? Shattered. It's a fantastic concept that blends seamlessly with the controller. But the execution? Sadly lacking. It's like ordering a gourmet meal that arrives ten minutes after you've already finished eating. The potential is there, but the fundamental flaw makes it unusable for any kind of real-time gaming. Back to the over-ear vice grips, I guess. At least the sound and action sync up.

It's okay
I'm torn between a 3 and 4 star, but settled on 4. For what this thing is, it's fine. I did not read the reviews well enough and assumed my voice would transmit with the mic. My headset mic DOES NOT transmit. The only mic that works is the one inside this unit. It's weird and the mic quality is not good. My button mashing sounds are picked up and my friends can hear it sometimes. However, I don't have to change batteries in anything and it connected with ease. I can use any bluetooth headset I want, as long as it would connect. So, for what it is, it works. The quality of sound is crap though. Another issue is the sound lag. It's noticable. Speech watching a show is almost annoying, but if you have a tough time with sound lab, don't do it. You'll thank me later.

Ignore the bad reviews
UPDATE 10/29/2024: I am returning as the mic quality is terrible. The connection to AirPods for sound works well, but the mic quality that is housed on the Skull & Co dongle is terrible, no one can hear you. I’ve had a great experience with the Skull & Co. Bluetooth Xbox adapter. From the start, it was super easy to set up, and I didn’t encounter any of the frustrations others mentioned in reviews. Pairing my AirPods with my Xbox Series X controller was straightforward, and everything connected smoothly. When it comes to performance, the audio quality is crisp—music and game sounds come through perfectly, without any noticeable lag or interference. I’ve read complaints about static, but in my case, I haven’t experienced any of that, which leads me to believe those negative reviews might come from people not setting it up correctly or using incompatible devices. I’m using this with a Series X controller, although I’m not entirely sure which generation it is—and it just works. Honestly, I feel like some of the bad reviews come from people who may not have followed the setup steps carefully or misunderstood how the adapter should be used. It’s doing exactly what I need it to, and I’m happy to recommend it to others looking for a reliable way to connect Bluetooth headphones to their Xbox controller.

Great solution for Xbox communications
After 2 weeks of searching and trying every solution for using bluetooth gaming earbuds with my Xbox series X console, this is the ONLY solution that actually worked! The unit fits nicely into the space between the two controller handles and it leaves a decent amount of space around the microphone opening so it is not blocked or muffled when in use. Other players say voice communication is clear. Setup was a breeze and everything worked just fine from the start. Unit appears to be of durable construction and I feel this was the best value and best working solution.

Works great. Wireless bluetooth and built-in mic (airpods max 2)
Can confirm works great with my Airpods Max 2's. Easy to pair them and sound good. The mic on my Airpods isn't going through but there is a mic on the device itself. It's fine. Since the mic is on the device which is plugged into the controller it picks up a lot of the clacking from pressing buttons and moving the sticks, but it works well enough in a pinch so good enough for me. I just wanted to be able to use my airpods wirelesslly so I'm happy with it for that.

Kind of works with samsung ear buds.
Connects to my samsung ear buds but only plays game audio through earbuds. Does not pick up the mic. To talk I have to turn on the onboard mic. There is a delay in the audio also. Which makes timing certain things difficult. It kind of works for what I wanted it for, but not a great solution if you want to fully use your ear buds.

Good
Works well but you have to speak louder than normal. Really wanted to love them more. They work flawlessly though. Just wish the microphone was a bit better.

Soddisfatta!
Perfetto e facile da installare. Esperienza di gioco comoda e godibile, finalmente senza fili! Specifico che utilizzo solo l'audio di gioco, la sezione microfono non posso recensirla. Consigliatissimo

Does what it says
Connected just fine with my XM5 and XM4's - audio quality is great through the supported codecs and latency is almost imperceptible. That said it's not usable for competitive shooters as the delay will put you at a disadvantage.

same rozczarowania
