I Dreamt I was a Butterfly

This story is for a variety of story lovers. It is about the life cycle of a monarch butterfly and the monarch migration, Day of the Dead, a mother and daughter relationship, and would be a wonderful book to help explain the passing of a loved one to a child (though not in a depressing way, it can still be an every day read). The story reads smoothly and the illustrations are absolutely beautiful!!

I bought this book to add to my baby’s collection! He is due in 4 weeks. I look forward to reading it to him, and having his big sister read it to him! I also purchased it to support the author, whom I graduated high school with because tbh I thought that was an awesome thing.

Cute little story about monarchs. My daughter loved it!

It’s a beautiful story not only about the life cycle and migration of a butterfly, but the amazing relationships between a mother and a daughter. Having two daughters of my own and having lost my mother, this story pulled at my heartstrings.

This is a beautifully written and illustrated story that explores the life cycle and journey of a monarch butterfly, the Michocan tradition of the Day of the Dead, and the power of a mother's love.
