Nice top-mounted sink. I like the "slim rim" edge that is nearly-flush with the counter. The sink is quieter than expected. Previous experiences with metal sinks produced a pinging "rain on a tin roof" type of effect. The insulation seems to negate any such noise with this sink, including the rumbling vibrations from the garbage disposal.Most of my issues with the sink are personal perceptions and choices. The one major exception is that the water drains slowly/incompletely due to minimal slope and position of the offset drain, despite the "creased accent lines in the sink bottom to deliver superior drainage". The pooling water spots concern me, but need to be toweled-out frequently anyway because of the SS finish. Which leads me to the opinions...I am not a huge fan of the patina look and cleaning hassle of Stainless Steel. We made the switch of our appliance nearly a decade ago, and I have been cursing daily while cleaning streaks and fingerprints from various doors, handles, stove-top edges, and the stainless faucet. The sink matches perfectly with all of those other SS surfaces and gives me another area requiring constant and recurring wiping down.The other minor issues were questionable choices. First settling for this 9" depth (vice 10") basin which increases the splatter factor (and further contributes to my previous issue of constantly drying/cleaning the surfaces). Second, and I am still not certain if it is a negative, is having one single large bowl. I have been on the planet for half a century and have always had two sink basins (i.e. one for washing and one for soaking/straining). I'll try to remember to follow-up on my adaptability and give a performance update after we have used the sink for a while, but initial impression is positive.

Wish I had changed out the old sink years ago but it is what it is. Went to a specialty plumbing supply store and the very same sink model was over $200 more. If my counter didn't have water damage that had to be repaired, the project would've gone much faster. I had to cut the hole bigger for the new sink to fit in but in the end the effort was very worthwhile. My countertop is formica and I was able to cut it myself but if it were granite or marble, I would've had to get some professional help to do it. Love the extra space for large pots and pans. The stainless steel grate provided makes it easy to wash food particles down the drain. The 18 ga thickness of the stainless steel was a concern for me but it proved to be more than adequate in stiffness. I thought the faucet would possible be wobbly but when it was mounted, was very sturdy. The white sound dampening coating on the bottom does it's job and this sink is overall a good deal. I'd recommend it to anyone. Oh, one other thing, the right back corner was slightly bent but I was able to straighten it out sufficiently. I should've checked it since other reviewers experienced damaged sinks, so be sure to check the sink upon receiving it and before starting the removal of the old sink.

We've had this sink for a few months and we are pleased with it. First I ordered and returned two damaged ones from big box, which came direct shipped from Elkay - they would have been fine for undermount, but if you plan to top mount then be sure to order with plenty of time for returns. I ordered this one from Amazon, it arrived in great shape and so we had a plumber install it, he was impressed with the quality. We use the grate at all times and have had no major scratching or rust. Directions say to run cold water when dumping boiling water down, and although I do this it still makes a loud expansion noise -- it is a big piece of stainless. I would choose it again, I like the flat flange and slightly rounded corners inside. Hope it lasts us a long time!

Love the sink, but it’s advertised as having the rack with it and this includes only the sink. Now I have to go buy a rack which is more money

Absolutely beautiful sink! High quality. It will hold any size pot or pan for easy cleaning. The thin top edge allows you to wipe the counters right into the sink without getting caught on the edge, almost as good as an under mount. We have a granite countertop that someone (not us) installed in a bit of a funky way, and an under mount sink was not possible. We struggled for a solution. Installing a farm house sink would have required modifications to the granite which no contractor was willing to tackle. Our current sink was bulky with the standard roll top edge that EVERYTHING would get caught on, making cleaning a chore. Also, it was the black granite composite material that didn't clean well either. Then we found this sink and all of our problems were solved! It looks beautiful, is functional and easy to clean, and it is hardly noticeable that it is even mounted over the granite. LOVE IT!

The edge of the sink was bent. I did not open this until ready to install. The installer, just bend it back, but you can see where it was bent. I wanted a replacement, but it was not possible to have the installer return, so it is a little warped in the corner.I wipe down the top of the sink every time that I use it and it looks good. You will have to take out the grid and wash the bottom of the sink from time to time. I put a drainer on one side and wash on the other. Its great for washing big pans.

Great sink, fit well, good quality, great price, based on what we paid. Watching Amazon prices go up and down is like watching the stockmarket. They fluctuate WILDLY. We just got lucky and bought at the low end.
