This had to be one of the easiest fixes I’ve done on the XJ so far. I already had the door panel off from testing/fixing broken wires in the door jamb and this window motor/regulator was the last thing. Was installed and working within 30 minutes of delivery and much of that time was spent finding tape to hold the window up and out of the way! I’ll update if I have any issues down the trail.

This is the second door that has needed a new power window on a 1998 Jeep Cherokee. This style (regulator included) is easy enough to install, requires no adjustments, and works as expected.

Parts store wanted like 150$ for this so this price is awesome. Install wasn't to bad. To make the install a little easier I took the whole seal off and took the window out then mounted the regulator. Way more room to work it in there. Also do not over tighten the 2 bolts that mount it to the window. Just snug them then a notch tighter thats it, don’t want to crack the window. I also srayed the track down with wd40 silicone spray, before the window would get stuck sometimes and lag. Everything works like it should now.

This was an excellent replacement part, fit like a glove and works great!

Window motor worked perfect for about a week, started it up one day to find it would go down but not back up, cheap product, recommend better brand if possible(2000 jeep Cherokee Xj)

Better than stock,, I don’t know how they built this for the money
