PERMINKS275 330 Gallon IBC Tote Tank Adapter 2" x Garden Hose 1/4 (Adapter 2" Cam Lock)

I ordered this to use an IBC tote for watering new trees in our orchard. I selected this one after reading fairly good reviews. When it arrived, I was surprised and disappointed by the thin plastic that was drilled into and threaded for the valve. There were only two or three female threads to screw the valve into, and even with the thread tape, it didn't feel very secure. The first day I used the setup, I was watering with a short hose, and somehow the valve was pulled on enough to bend it sideways inside the threaded hole, causing leakage around the valve threads. I removed the valve, reapplied tape, and threaded it back in, but it still doesn't seal perfectly, and I'm guessing the whole valve will just rip out of the threaded hole with a little use.My other issue is related to the flow through the ball valve. I selected this type because others include gate valves, which are usually more restrictive. It's not an issue with pressurized water sources, but with a tank, you have to rely on gravity. The problem with this one is the ball valve only opens a hole measuring a quarter inch or less. It's like shooting a milk jug with a pellet gun and watching the water trickle out. I had to stand there several minutes to allow for one gallon of water. The cheap valve just doesn't allow enough water to flow to be practical without the system being pressurized.I'll have to find another ruse for this tank setup, and just buy a bulkhead fitting with a 2" female thread, so I can use standard fittings to reduce the hole size to use with a proper high-flow ball valve and 3/4" garden hose adapter. I though buying this ready-to-use assembly would be a better option than buying a bunch of parts at the hardware store, but the lack of functionality with this one makes the sourcing of parts and assembly time the better choice. I would NOT RECOMMEND this one to friends. This one may have some uses, but dispensing water from a non-pressurized tank isn't one of them, unless you can really baby it, and have a lot of patience to wait for the water to come out.

I was really happy to find this connection for my 250 gallon totes. I use two totes for my deer camp water supply. I keep one on a raised platform to store my shower water for my bus and one to carry water from home to the woods and supply the storage tank. This adapter makes the transitions seamless and easy. I plan on purchasing another so that I do not even have to disconnect the bus water line when I bring in water for the transfer.Product seems well built.Only one issue for me, the water hose spigot that came with the tank fitting had a small opening and as I use a pump to siphon water from the tank into my shower, I wanted a full flow valve. I changed this one out for a larger type that I had on-hand. No fault of the valve, just an observation. Change out is very easy. No leaks found before or after.

Don't leak, perfect for my garden hose and my tote. I will be buying more, as I have ten totes.

Works perfectly. It is hard plastic and you have to twist the garden valve on, but the seller was thoughtful enough to pre wrap the threads in telfon tape, which was a nice touch. No leaks!

I have a cabin with no running water so each visit we bring a 55 gallon container of water and leave the excess stored in a 275 IBC for future needs. This adapter converts the IBC's 2"Cam Lock Male to a standard 3/4" Male garden hose thread.

This adapter was more than I expected. The fit was perfect and the function is absolutely brilliant! Don't wast your time trying to engineer and build your own. This adapter is a time saver.
