TP-Link PCIe WiFi Card AC600 for Desktop PC-Dual Band Wireless Network Card

This is a solid WiFi card, especially for the price. And to set the record straight, this card _does_ work with Linux. It didn't work for me initially because I installed Slackware 15, and that is on Linux kernel 5.15 at the moment. Support for this particular card was added in 5.19. I just went ahead and built 6.18, and it just worked when I booted into that kernel. Probably most distros that release constantly will just work out of the box. I just wanted to say all this because if you don't read most of the reviews here, and just ask the Amazon review robot to tell you, it will tell you that it won't work. And that is not accurate at all. (see commit d528682 in the kernel git repo which I can't link here because of terms of service) And for Windows users, it also works flawlessly in Windows 11.

Worked as expected

I was building a PC for my mom and towards the end of the build, she informed me that she would be moving her computer and would not have access to an ethernet connection. Luckily, I found this TP Link wifi adapter that could easily be added to the build without additional cabling. The wifi reception is strong with the included antenna and drivers were installed automatically during the Windows startup, not requiring any additional work to get it working. No additional applications needed for this wifi adapter, allowing it to work just like a built-in wifi adapter, making it very user friendly for someone who isn't super tech savvy.

Sevurely packaged and blew my little USB wifi dongle out the water. Took me from 5mbps/0.49mbps with one bar of signal to 10mbps/11mbps edit: Less than 24 hours later it fried on me. Won't blink at power-up and won't detect in windows. Did fantastic last night, what happened???

​As always, TP-Link's quality is good. It's simple and fast to install, and the product is well-packaged. It's a great value and useful for working, watching videos, etc. Recommended. Works better with 5G networks.

I bought this to add wifi capability to my Dell Optiplex 5060 SFF PC that I got, used, thru a non-profit organization. I was initially a bit worried that it wouldn't fit, because the receiving bay is actually longer than the length of this little card. But I tried it anyway and the PC turned on without frying itself, and everything works so far with no issues! This item comes with a tiny CD, from which you must download the drivers, aka tiny bits of software that tell a piece of hardware how to work. You can't skip this step! The PC I have still has a physical CD-ROM drive, and its tray has a tiny press-to-lock mechanism for the central hole of a CD, so I didn't have to move the box from its upright position just to keep the tiny CD from falling out. I followed the instructions on the included little booklet, including how to download the drivers properly, and install the SFF 70mm bracket to fit the narrow case, and it all worked like a charm! The wifi router is in another room, separated by one wall and a full floor of the house, but the distance is less than 10 feet directly, so I don't know the functional max range of the receiver. I'm totally happy with this set-up, and I'll just keep hoping that the empty spot in the slot on the mobo doesn't have any ill effects later! Fingers crossed!

With this device I was able to add Wi-Fi to my PC that did not have the capability, it is compact in size fit right into the PCIe slot it is easy to use once installed , this is not a Bluetooth device - but I now have dual Internet with this

it is a good product , but buyers should read the title more carefully . IT ONLY WORKS ON WINDOWS . I have so much trouble tried to install it on Linux . it is not the type of plug and use device , user has to install its driver .

Excellent PCIe wifi card, works fine! You need to download the software on US region only - name as "Archer TPE2 AC600" for Windows 10/11.

highly recommended if your upgrading form usb wifi receiver. signal strength is good and it is a dual band 5g for faster wifi connection and more stable.
