Mountain Everest Max Mechanical Gaming Keyboard - USB Hub - Cherry MX Hot-Swappable Switches - RGB Backlit (Midnight Black, Speed Silver - Fastest & Linear)

I have 3 razer keyboards, 1 ROG Strix keyboard and I just bought this Mountain Everest Max keyboard. This one is by far my favorite and perfect for my set up. I also purchased the Mountain "Stream Deck" as well to go with it. Its all quite the setup. I did replace the keycaps to a really nice set of PBT "colored" keycaps to personalize it, which was very easy to install and looks fabulous. They keys have a really nice feel and sound to them as well. They have updated the software and I have had no issues with it whatsoever in my system, easy to customize as well, even changing the color on each individual key is simpler than the razer software. Also, the packaging this arrived in was second to none, just amazing. Glad they lowered the price down to $199 (I believe when it released it was $299). Happy Camper here!

Quick version:The keyboard only lasted about four months before it started constantly disconnecting. Spent far too much on a keyboard to last for that period of time. I've reached out to Mountain in hopes that they'll help out but, until then, giving this a one star review.Detailed review:I snagged the Mountain Everest Max keyboard after my previous keyboard finally bit the dust after years of continuous daily use. I did my research, and this keyboard seemed the way to go. I'm now regretting the purchase.I bought the keyboard back in October of 2022. It took about a month to get here, but that wasn't a problem. Presentation was beautiful: The packaging was great, and the keyboard was (and is) beautiful. And for the first few months of work, I loved it.But over the last month, I've had an increasingly-negative experience. The keyboard constantly loses connection to my computer. The key lighting flickers then goes off, and I won't be able to use the keyboard for anywhere between 3-15 seconds.This has happened twice already in the time it's taken to write this review.I work as a professional writer (and hobby gamer). Constant disconnects are a complete deal-breaker for me, especially at this price point. The more time passes, the more often it's happening and the longer the disconnect seems to last.I've tried different USB ports. I've tried a different connecting wire. I've even connected different devices into the USB ports to see if the problem might be with the ports, but they all work fine. The problem is clearly with the keyboard itself.I've reached out to Mountain to see if they're willing to do anything about it, and will absolutely update this review if they're able to help out. But in the meantime, I can't recommend this keyboard. It's gotta be one star.

Quality of Keys is great easy to use

I purchased this with the silver switches and don't regret anything. The first one arrived with the media dock knob DOA, but the company was fast to answer customer service issues and promptly mailed me a new one.It's the most comfortable keyboard I've ever used, and I type constantly all day long. This has prevented hand cramps, made me able to write more than ever before!Fantastic, can't be happier.

Sturdy, very cool features, arrived super fast.
