Q: Almost the lowest price of the vertical laptop stand ,does it work well?

I use it everyday at the office. I adjusted mine tight enough that there is little to no wiggle, but it will not scratch the laptop.

Q: Does it fit a MacBook Pro 2020 version with hard case on?

Yes, even works on an old 2013 Macbook Pro.

Q: will this scratch a glass surface desk?

No, I actually keep this on a black glass desk myself, and it does great! There are four little rubber feet on the bottom of this stand that help to hold the stand steady, and protect the glass surface on my desk.

Q: Anyone else have issues using the hex to loosen the bolts? I bought two of these and can't get the screws loose to adjust it to fit my laptops.

The longer threads may call for you to loosen them more than expected. If they cannot be removed or loosened, you should send them back for an exchange.
