How to Cure Diabetes
A**Y
A lot of information
I have strong family history of diabetes, my mother, my grandmother, my uncle all had it and passed away. I was pre-diabetics and despite I tried to control it with diets and lifestyle changes, my blood sugar was getting worse. So this book title interested me because the prevailing belief is there is no cure for diabetes.I have read other doctors and health professionals’ books and their fundamental belief is that most of the modern chronic diseases are caused by nutrients deficiency and toxicity. This book holds the same belief. This is the first time I read Dr. Sherry Rogers’s book and it has a lot of information and it overwhelmed me. I also feel it is not well organized but it is still a very good book. To get the most out of it, you have to reread again and again. Before reading this book, I have been reading Dr. Carolyn Dean and Mark Sircus’s book and following their supplement recommendations. After 3 months of supplementing magnesium and apply topical magnesium daily, my fasting sugar drops to 80s and 1 hour after meal is within 120. Of course, I need to follow a low carb diet and exercise every day to achieve this result. If you are eating pizza, cake, soda, and desert everyday, no amount of supplements will improve your health.

Must have for all doctors and patients alike
I practice Holistic Medicine and certified in functional medicine, this book is a wealth of knowledge. I received this book 5 days ago and have already read through it. She backs up all of her claims with hundreds of studies which is only a fraction of the studies shes researched to write this book. I ended up ordering 3 more of her books this past weekend and plan on recommending this book to many patients. While I can explain to them why their doctor might be misguided, it helps to have this book so they can take it to their doctor and show them the research with educated questions. The only thing I didnt agree with so much was her macrobiotic diet for diabetes though she does state no diet is made for everyone. I would use a more low carb high fat diet the regulate and reverse diabetes then more into a paleo style diet. Everything else nutrient wise is spot on and looking forward to reading her other books.

Good info, not easily used
the good side, this is an interesting and I believe a futuristic approach to healing diseases. And I think the info about the collusion between pharma and doctors was prescient. It's now been proven! Many of the nutrients I was not familiar with. But on the negative side, Dr. Rogers sometimes is condescending to the reader. She says if you don't understand her then you should buy here other books and read all her newsletters. But I agree with the person who gave a one star review... she does not telltyou how to use the nutrients and just tells you to read more of her books over and over as if suddenly the light will go on. So in that way it is a poorly written book. Some of the nutrients like Acetly l carnitine are hard on stomachs of some people, but she doesn't say how to deal with that. So there is a lot to learn in this book, but not sure it is useable. She pushes you toward going to a "knowledgeable" physician. And although all this is good, it is not book user friendly.. Most people like it. I felt a bit "put down" and disappointed..but I will continue reading. Love that she still recommends cod liver oil. Some of the people I trust most have recommended that for fifty years!

A invaluable book by an incredible doctor.
Dr Sherry Rogers is one of the leading authorities on the myriad of death causing diseases abounding today. She is one of the few experts who dialy achieves success far beyond others and she is not afraid to critise the medical establishment when needed. This book is a beacon for those who want to get better. It requires a high level of careful reading and organisation of ones life away from many of the established prescribed medical treatments. In an age of over processed food full of growth hormones and antibiotics we must choose what we eat very carefully.Doctors prescribed medications for most diseases harm our health and this is clearlyshown. Far better treatment with natural suppliments are outlined which will dramatically improve health. The correct mwdical tests are outlined and questions to ask your doctor or find one who will lead to recovery. This book requires a great deal of effort and should immediately lead you to question many courses of treatment and seek more skilled practioners. Please realise your own limitations and find the right accredited medical person(s) to turn life threating ailments around. This book needs to be read carefully and then re-read.

Type 1 Diabetes is not the same disease as Type 2. Rogers should have mentioned this...
I'm reading this book for the second time, and taking notes. Some of it is really current (like the reminder about Vitamin K2). But I could not find one distinction in this book between Type 1 Diabetes and Type 2. They are different diseases, with different causes. Type 1 cannot be cured, ever... unless one opts for a pancreas transplant. It just seems like malpractice to not mention this...Having said that, I'm not trying to "cure" my Type 1 Diabetes and it's sort of insulting to imply that I could or should try. (I actually DID try, for years... while refusing to understand what it means to have all beta cells in a pancreas die.) Instead, now, I am just trying to live a long and healthy life even though it will be on an insulin pump for the rest of my days. I'll take what I can from this book, but for me, recommendations for Type 1 Diabetes should be different from Type 2. The prognosis should also be different.

unless you like being diabetic and being a human pin cushion and ...
If you have diabetes and are sick or your health is in decline follow the program and watch as your body rejuvenates and strengthens your immune system. A naturopathic fix to heal a pancreas whether you are type 1 juvenile or type 2 adult onset. If you follow the guidelines and don't stray from its regiment the possibility of losing diabetes is very possible. The key is to keep to it for the rest of your life, unless you like being diabetic and being a human pin cushion and want to be at great risk for kidney failure(dialysis 6 hrs a day, 3 days a week), c.v.a.(stroke), or an acute m.i. (heart attack). I don't, so I bought the book and follow it to a tee.

Dr Sherry Rogers gives us a very clear explanation of the causes of diabetes. Her book on the subject is very comprehensive and although there is numerous medical terms. Dr Sherry Rogers also explains what you can do to prevent or even cure the condition that has afflicted millions of people globally.I would strongly recommend you read the book at least twice.
